According to descendants of Robert (b. 1826 VA) and Nancy Delitha Cabe Fallin (b. 1826 TN), they came to Van Buren Arkansas by boat shortly after their marriage in 1849 in Bedford, TN, then walked across the mountains to Cane Hill, AR.
The family lived in various locations in Washington Co., AR, eventually settling in Fayetteville, AR. Their children were: Mary Emily, Theodosia, Martha Elizabeth, Holmes Lafayette, and Joseph Anthony.
Robert Redmond Fallin fought for the Union forces in Arkansas during the Civil War. Members of his family have stated that Nancy Delitha CABE Fallin's people were Southern sympathizers.
Robert Redmond Fallin is buried in the National Cemetery at Springfield, MO.
Nancy Delitha CABE Fallin is buried in Evergreen Cemetery at Fayetteville, AR.
