Children About Fathers AGE 4 My Dad can do ANYTHING! AGE 8 There might be one or two things he doesn't know AGE 12 Naturally he doesn't understand AGE 14 I never realised how hopelessly old fashioned he is AGE 21 You'd expect him to say that. He's so out of date. AGE 25 He comes up with a good idea now and then. AGE 30 I wonder what Dad thinks I should do. AGE 40 I'll wait till I discuss it with Dad. AGE 50 What would Dad have thought about it. AGE 60 I wish I could talk it over with him one more time. A Dad is..... A mender of toys, A leader of boys; A changer of fuses, A healer of bruises; A mover of couches, A healer of ouches; A hanger of screens, A counsellor of teens; A pounder of nails, A teller of tales; A dryer of dishes, A fulfiller of wishes; Bless him, oh Lord, My Dad. A Father's Prayer Last night my little boy confessed, to me some childish wrong, And kneeling at my knee he prayed with tears, "Dear God make me a man, like Daddy, Wise and strong; "I know You can." Then while he slept, I knelt beside his bed, Confessed my sins and prayed with low bent head, "O God, make me a child, like my child here; Pure Open Trusting thee with faith sincere." True.... Just when a man finally discovers that after all they have been through, his parents were right from the beginning...... His children start telling him he's wrong!
