Hey, All !
I'm Andy and, although I've been in
Texas 18 years, Kentucky is home and where much of my family still hang their hats.
Texas called me in 1980 when the job market in Louisville wasn't too hot and moving here
has proven to be the best thing I've ever done.
After bouncing around in corporate life as an
accountant and auditor, and being miserable, God led me to the Salvation Army where I've
been for nearly five years. I love it and serve as the assistant director for state
services. That means I keep an eye out for the small rural communities that can't
support a full time, staffed facility and help the volunteer teams meet ongoing and
emergency needs. I feel as if I've found my true purpose in life. (see
link to Salvation Army's local
web page to learn more about what this great organization does.)
Being from Kentucky means Basketball ! What else? I love traveling, swimming and an occasional hand
of blackjack. Also, I collect Kentucky Derby julep glasses and have 44 of the annual
editions.
Since I don't know where these pages will take me,
come back often for updates and Go
Cats!
