8 Year Old Standardbred Gelding
Apple the day of our first ride, 15th Jan, 2000.
Apple has come to us through the Standardbred Adoption scheme. This is where some very dedicated people are trying to ensure that there is life after racing for this gentle breed of horse.
Apple - as we have renamed him - came to us on the 28th December, 1999. We have re-educated him to a life under saddle and have now placed him with a lovely couple from Shepparton. We wish them all the best with this lovely reliable horse and hope they get years of pleasure from a gentle giant who very nearly lost his life just because he was too slow to race.
