SOLDbr>
He's the kind of horse with a far-away look. He'll sure take a man through some awful places and sometimes only one comes out.
~WS James
Orion is out of a Cattle King mare, this stallion needs no introduction! Orion's Sire, Tappett, - although unregistered himself, was by
Ophir Action* (dec) (Full Brother to Ophir Spice,) by Scrumlo Victory out of Scrumlo Dorita. Tappett's dam is by Crofton Oliver from a Sultan mare. We originally bought him to be the sire for our stud, however due to marraige split and purchase of new property, and after much soul searching it was decided to geld him.
(*see Australian Stock Horse Journal Sept/Oct '99)
Orion stands 15.2hands, has a lovely front, strong quarters and large eye. He is strong and forward moving and very athletic and balanced. He is terrific hill horse and never seems to tire.
He was started undersaddle in December 2001 and is going well but does need a rider of some confidence and abilty. He is bred to perform with the looks of a show horse although his does have a couple of minor scars.
Orion will try his hand at jumping with his new owners and we wish him and them all the best.
