We explored three different type of media (Markers, Colored pencils, and Crayons), discussed their differences, and created pictures to illustrate these differences. 9/5/97
While preparing our booth for a SU fall carnival, we purchased primary color tempra paints in powder form, mixed with water, then mixed our own colors for voilet, brown, pink, green, etc.. 10/17/97
We made Grandparents Day cards using mostly lines to create all of the effects we wanted, we then colored them with 3 medias we explored in requirement #1 9/5/97
Co-Leader, Ms. Joy (who is also an artist) discussed "perspective" with the troop. She showed us how to make images on paper appear to have more dimension by using a "vanishing point" on the "horizon line". We then used perspective while creating our Grandparents Day cards in requirement #4. 9/5/97
* The troop made birdhouses from kits, and used acrylic paints to mix colors and paint. Then at the end of the meeting we placed them on the table and had a "gallery" for the parents, plus we had them try and figure out which one was done by their daughter. 9/19/97

Review of Activites:  As most kids do, the girls loved drawing and painting. However, I did not expect them to take to the lesson on perspective the way that they did. They were very inquisitive about the technique, and all did very well with it, some got really inventive!!
