Claire grew up in Gays Mills,Wisc. and attended
schools there. He later attended the University of
Wisconsin-Platteville. He was a teacher and
worked most of his life as an electrical lineman. He
was a member of the National Electrical Contractors
Association and the International Brotherhood of Electrical
Workers. He served in the Navy during World WarII,
and was a member of the Readstown, Wisc. Village Board
at the time of his death.

Claire and Hulneda divorced and he later remarried
and had two more boys. At the time of his death he was
married to Geraldine Adair who he married in 1982.

Below is a picture of Clair Montgomery right
before his death with wife,Gerri. This is a picture of John,Ron and Tom with
their Aunt Floy, Claire's sister. Taken in Readstown,
Wisc. at their Father's funeral.

Hulneda was born in Stone Lake and lived most
of her life there. She raised her 11 children and never
remarried. She became a teacher for small children there.
