dreaming ...

Outside,
So peaceful, so calm
Warm breezes envelope me like gentle hugs,
and whispering sweet nothingness.
The light that beats down on my brow and warms
my soul,
forcing away the darkness
the fears fading away.
The rain that washes away my tears
and fills my cup once again.

Suddenly I'm awake
For a split second
not knowing where I am
and for the next
wishing I could find
my way back outside.
