Most of us in Christendom today are content and perfectly comfortable in a our relationship with God our Father. In reality, most of the time, this relationship is no more than a pseudo or proxy relationship, through and by the entity that today calls itself the church. This entity in all likelihood serves as a mediator between men and Abba when there is but One True Mediator. The problem with this is obvious. When we finally recognize God expects a One on one relationship by each individual studying ourselves approved; a spirit of confusion will manifest and most of the time this will affect our Spiritual growth. This comes about because we are taught we are to depend on the church for spiritual food. The confusion comes when we become aware of what God really desires for us and what the church claims that He desires. God's Word confirms that there is but One Mediator between each of us and Himself. 1 Timothy 2:5 ~ For there is one God, and One Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus.So what I'm attempting to get at here is bring to the Light that many of us don't even realize just what sort of relationship is expected of us.
If by chance we should ask anyone in mainstream Christendom today if they were comfortable in their individual relationship with God, I believe from most we would get a somewhat hesitant affirmative. And if we asked these same how they were aware of the state of this relationship; undoubtibly some would give a the same response. A vast percentage of these who say they are saved will have based this relationship through or by the organization called the church of today in a proxy or mediated relationship. And it's obvious there is a very big problem with this understanding especially the way many in Christendom view and understand just what salvation really means. Because it varies widely from one end of the spectrum of understanding to the other end. For example, an AOG Pentecostal would define a completely different salvation relationship than a Southern Baptist or one who is a member of the Crystal Cathedral in California. I believe you as the reader can somewhat understand what I'm getting at here. For us just to say we are saved isn't anywhere near enough to the Truth. Our walk has to exhibit this salvation.
There is something called consecration unto sanctification. Or the separating from the world unto the joining to God to be fit for Holy duty.
This is what we were saved for. Not to simply warm a pew for 20 years. Offering an analogy of what I mean here--- Salvation grants us membership into the Kingdom but sanctification insures us of the benefits that are bestowed at the table with the King. Just because we are a citizen in the Kingdom in no way gives us the right to sup at the table of the King.Much too many of us today simply say we're saved as easily as we claim to be a Christian. This is one of the reasons why I don't refer to myself as a Christian anymore. It has become a word that carries with it the handle of a someone who assasinates abortion doctors. Or a pastor who is caught in a relationship with a prostitute. For the majority of the world today only sees a hypocrite when they hear the handle Christian. We have multi-thousand person crystal cathedrals that are unfortuntely filled with dead mens bones and nothing but superficial symbols of worship. And it's not completely the fault of the sheep. Sadly many today have no idea that true salvation comes with a price and part of that price has to be paid by us. Very many if not most come into this relationship fully desiring what the Kingdom of God is all about. This salvation was confirmed by the promise,the down payment--the earnest of the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. Ephesians 1: 14 in the Amplified text says this ~ That [Spirit] is the guarantee of our inheritance [the first-fruits, the pledge and foretaste, the down payment on our heritage], in its anticipation of its full redemption and our acquiring [complete] possession of it---to the praise of His glory.
There is a Truth that far too many of us do not know about today in Christendom mainly because of this one important fact— it just simply isn't taught. And this Truth is; There is an incomplete salvation spoken of in God's Word. And if there is an incomplete salvatio---There must also be a completed or perfected salvation. Right?
I could also say and I believe I would be right in that most of us never give a second thought to our spiritual condition. Mainly because the bulk of mainstream Christendom believes falsely that they have their life in Christ by belonging to the entity that calls itself the church instead of belonging to the One Who is our Life and our very existence. Let me explain—--If we would ask anyone in mainstream Christendom today if they believed they are commanded to go to church every Sunday and Wednesday night; We would get a very emphatic Amen. And these also believe that if they aren't present in this building everytime the door is open, they are cast into guilt and self condemnation because those that preach and teach have pounded into their consciousness that it is sin if they don't.Hebrews 10: 25 is misrepresented and misunderstood to mean something that it's not.
This is tragic because in reality many have put their trust in this church. They don't understand that this is actually works unto salvation. In these days of the false grace message running rampant; if you would ask if they are aware that this is works unto righteousness relationship they will say, not so. But what else can it be? The physical act of our body warming a pew is carnality. And anything done in our carnality is classified as works. And it's because these at the podium that claim to only preach grace flip-flop and teach works out of the other side of their mouth by saying church attendance and tithing is a command.
This incomplete salvation; is proved by the witnesses below. These speak of a salvation to be completed in a future date for all---Whatever that date might be when we all enter into glory at the same time as the Body of Christ. None of us will attain glory until all of us attain it together.
Romans 5: 10 ~ For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of His Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.

Romans 13: 11 (Amp) ~ says this Besides this you know what [a critical] hour this is, how it is high time for you to wake up out of your sleep (rouse to reality), For salvation (final deliverance) is nearer to us now than when we first believed (adhered to, trusted in, and relied on Christ, the Messiah).
Ephesians 1: 14 ~ [The Holy Spirit], which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.
Philippians 2:12 ~ Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

1 Peter 1: 5 ~ Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
Revelation 12: 10 ~And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the Kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.

I don't have to say that complacency or spiritual laziness is a dire mistake and will not be tolerated in these last days for those who hope to attain full salvation. And as I said above many believe incorrectly that attendance in a temple fashioned of brick and mortar is understood to be maintaining their relationship with God our Father. Because of this, many of us believe that we're saved because a pastor, minister or some such assures us we are and he or she will maintain that faithful, dutiful attendance in a temple of brick and mortar will guarantee this relationship with God is taken care of. And I also have to maintain that this will leave many if not most of us with a false sense of security or a small hollow place in our soul that was designed to be filled by the things of the Kingdom of God.
There is a growing group of believers today that believe that the ransom that was paid by Christ will also cover sins yet committed. And to clarify this–--Many are taught that we cannot out-sin the grace of God. I hope I don't have to elaborate too much on this. I we would all have to agree this way of thinking is completely and hopelessly ludicrous and fallacious and in fact is a doctrine of devils—--or in reality is in fact a license to sin. I do know that many will stand on this reasoning though and this is why I wrte this article.
The two main works unto righteousness that these who claim unconditional salvation are religious or dutiful attendance at a temple of brick and mortar and in this attendance the dutiful participation in the concept of the tithe. If you ask these that believe this way they are unable to see it. And so we continually race around in a circle clinging to these two duties when they have nothing to do with our salvation at all.
And I don't put all the blame on the sheep based on what they believe. Especially those that are immature in Christ have no choice but to believe this way because this is what is coming out from behind the podium. And it's completely evident and very easy to see that if those that preach and teach do not maintain and preach that these two are commandments---Church attendance and tithing---are essential to the believers walk; these buildings of stone and mortar wouldn't be able to exist. There would be no bodies in the pews and no mammon in the till to pay for the pastor and his wife's extravagant lifestyly. Sadly the majority that are In Christ or the saved today are still in the infant and young child stage and do not ever grasp this Truth. They will stay bound to this temple of stone and mortar for a lifetime.
One of the main witnesses that is gleaned out of context is in John 10:28 that says ~ I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of My hand. And there is the small matter of the witnesses that are before this one. John 10: 27 says ~ My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. And this is indeed Truth. But He says no where at all in His Word, that God restrains us or forces us to hear His voice, or forces us to follow Him and stay in a close relationship with Him. We can and do leave this closeness at any time. We are free to make the choice to not follow Him. We can leave His hand by our own free will. We can and do forsake a close walk with Him by not adhering to a sincere understanding of the Gospel of Christ which is His Word; which literally IS Christ Jesus manifested before us in the form of this book with black and red text called the bible.
Some of us have gotten so comfortable in a churchy routine, in the tithe routine---in the dead works routine, in some of these sepulchers of brick and mortar ~ that we've fallen asleep and we would never ever begin to think about the state of our salvation. After all we are taught that we are to never doubt our relationship with God. I'm very confident in saying most teachers would never give a sermon on this subject and direct it at the mainstream fellowship. If it is brought up it's directed at new converts and it never is mentioned to the church as a whole. Or those who claim to be spiritually mature.
Occasionally there are services given that speak of a rededication of some sort. But I fail to grasp just what this concept is in the way that its put forth. A rededication to what? The place that we were in or by the standard that we set before this concept of rededication?
I do understand the purpose of this rededication but I see no need of it. I believe we would do better good and take care of the whole deal by preaching the need to work our salvation out as His Word commands us to do. Go to the Throne daily to make sure all is well for us. But we have to understand first that we can lose our salvation by not attending it and maintaining it. This rededication concept has come about since the total proliferation of the once saved always saved or Calvinistic doctrine. A True relationship with Christ cannot and will not come through the church, the pastor, the deacon, the elders, tithing or dutiful attendance to church. A True relationship rests in a close walk with Christ individually—One on one---Daily.There is only room on the Narrow Way for one person and Christ.
I intended to direct this writing solely to the entity that calls itself the church today. From the onset, when I received this word; obviously I saw no need for it to be aimed at the lost or the ones that haven't given their heart to Jesus. But in the last couple of years on this WWW I have been able to see now that this doctrine of devils has the need by it's very nature, to be confronted and shot down from the git-go before it ever has the opportunity to be sown, nurtured and cultivated in the heart of a new believer. And I surely direct it at the ones that have sat in a pew for many years. Thos who have gotten complacent in the maintenance and personal pruning of their spiritual condition. And also to those that have that hollow place. Those that think but aren't sure they are saved. These that are told by someone else, another mediator that they are saved but in their inner man they have that seed of doubt that something isn't quite right. Those that wonder and question where they will spend eternity. Especially those that are confused and unlearned in the understanding of His Word. Because a complete understanding of His Word will confirm that one can lose salvation. And this is the problem. Far too many today trust pastor to reach them the Word instead of going to the Source themslves. And if someone should start to have doubts concerning their relationship with God, it is indeed a good thing. This is the Spirit of Truth—--This is Abba bringing to their attention by allowing a seed of doubt that all is not well in the Kingdom of God as far as they are concerned. It is a good thing to have Abba so concerned; to love us so much that He would cause us to be disillusioned for a season in order to get our attention. Many are just too arrogant to grasp this.
It's very easy to spend a number of years in a pew and before we know it we have lost that first love and wonder where it has gone. It is a good thing to have a reason to approach the Throne of Grace. Paul says this to the fellowship at Philippi Philippians 2: 12 & 13 (Amp) ~ Therefore my dear ones, as you have always obeyed [my suggestions], so now, not only [with enthusiasm you would show] in my presence but much more because I am absent, work out (cultivate, carry out to the goal, and fully complete) your own salvation with reverence, awe and trembling (self distrust, with serious caution, tenderness of conscience, watchfulness against temptation, timidly shrinking from whatever might offend God and discredit the name of Christ).
13) [Not in your own strength] for it is God Who is all the while effectually at work in you [energizing and creating in you the power and desire], both to will and to work for His good pleasure, satisfaction and delight.
This witness above is used by those who hold to the doctrine of eternal security with no conditions to bolster and prop up their misguided understanding that God will somehow force us to be conformed to the image of His Son. Just what is the image of the Son of God that we are to be conformed to? Many have an understanding that just being saved is a conforming to His image. But in all common sense we can't stop there. Romans 8: 29 (Amp) says it this way ~ For those whom He foreknew [of whom He was aware and loved beforehand], He also destined from the beginning [foreordaining them] to be molded into the image of His Son [and share inwardly His likeness], that he might become the firstborn among many brethren. Notice the word firstborn above. It's not capitalized. This witness is misread and misunderstood to mean the firstborn is referring to Jesus. He's not talking about Jesus the Son being the firstborn—But is directing this at us, daily developing our inward selves to be conformed and daily transformed into the likeness of Christ, Who IS the firstborn of all creation. Do you see what I'm getting at here? He is the firstborn of creation but we are to be the firstborn of the many brethren. Colossians 1: 12 - 19 says this Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:
13) Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the Kingdom of His dear Son:
14) In Whom we have redemption through His blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
15) Who is the image of the invisible God, the Firstborn of every creature:
16) For by Him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by Him, and for Him:
17) And He is before all things, and by Him all things consist.
18 And He is the Head of the body, the church: who is the Beginning, the Firstborn from the dead; that in all things He might have the preeminence.
19 For it pleased the Father that in Him should all fulness dwell;
2 Thessalonians 2: 13 (Amp) ~ But we, brethren beloved by the Lord, ought and are obligated [as those who are in debt] to give thanks always to God for you, because God chose you from the beginning as His first-fruits (first converts) for salvation through the sanctifying work of the [Holy] Spirit and [your] belief in (adherence to, trust in and reliance on) the Truth
And it's a very dangerous to have the mind-set to ever get complacent concerning our spiritual health. If we dwell there too long there is no way out. And this IS Truth. We most definitely need to go into the Throne Room and confirm personally; for ourselves that we are indeed conforming to this Image in regard to our personal—One on one relationship with our Father in Heaven the only Mediator the Son on a daily basis. Notice I said In a daily maintenance of our walk. We live in a carnal realm and we are forever liable to sin and miss the mark.
Getting complacent about this is exactly what darkness wants us to do. Darkness would have us get all wrapped up doing, going, and working our salvation out with external churchy acts going through all the correct moves in a churchy walk and neglect the one thing that all else is built upon ~ Our One on one relationship with our Father in Heaven though Faith in the Son Christ Jesus. This spiritual relationship cannot be maintained by any external observance or worship of any kind and most definitely has nothing to do with church attendance or the tithe. There are very, very many that are basing their salvation on their relationship proxied through this entity that calls itself the church. Many base it on another gleaned witness saying this Romans 11: 29 (Amp) ~ For God's gifts and His call are irrevocable. (He never withdraws them once they are given, and He does not change His mind about those to whom He gives His grace or to whom He sends His call). And this is completely True. God never breaks His promises or backs out on His contracts or His covenants or promises to us But unfortunately---We do. The only way any covenant or promise is broken is if we break the faith in it. It was and has always been a two-way street in this relationship. It never was meant to be as very many in the church of today say in that we have no free will. That somehow we are forced by grace to adhere to this relationship. These that maintain the belief that we have no free will are those who believe in and exercise the false grace message. Oh yes brethren—There is such a thing as this and this belief is an infestation that has to be eradicated from the Body of Christ.
For all the curves, tricks and ambushes that darkness has come up with and pulled on God's children all down through time, the Once Saved ~ Always Saved doctrine has got to be his best one or worst one yet depending on how we look at it. And in this last age we are in--- It has to obviously be a last ditch effort on his part and is directed at the church—NOT the world of the lost. He already has them ensnared. What's so tragic is, all that believe in eternal security with no conditions, are staking their complete eternity on a lie. And this is one of if not the most difficult understanding to get across to those that stand on this. I realize there are many fathers In Christ or mature believers that have a deeper understanding into God's secrets, ways and purposes. These brethren have no problem fully understanding the principles of the Kingdom and that we can indeed lose our salvation. My concern are for those immature believers in the Body that will fall for anything that comforts their flesh, especially in this age of the total proliferation of this health, wealth and prosperity vomit that is spewed from the pulpit. OSAS or the once saved—always saved doctrine is to these brethren an understanding by its nature a doctrine that will lull them into a place of comfort, non-maintenance, and ultimately spiritual death and a complete and total banishment and separation from the everlasting presence of the Father.
The proponents for this doctrine base this fallacious message of once your saved you can never be unsaved on a misguided belief that Jesus payed the complete price and nothing else need be done. That there is nothing we can do or not do to jeopardize this relationship. And in fact---He did pay the complete price. He did rescue us from the raging waters of spiritual death--- But there is nothing holding us to this close walk with Him. What is to stop any of us from going out and getting indebted again to the same slaver or jumping back into the raging waters of separation from the Grace? When the mortgage is paid in full what is to stop us from taking out another loan on our temple? Listen brethren—This is just another mutated breed of doctrine that preaches comfort and well being and peace for all in Gods Kingdom. This doctrine comes directly against the Gospel of Christ. The Gospel of suffering for Christ's sake. The Gospel of laying all else aside and taking up our own cross and start trudging off to Golgotha. The Gospel of separation from the things and trappings of this world unto sanctification to Holiness. The Gospel of dying if need be for the sake of Yeshua. Where does this gospel fit into Once Saved Always Saved doctrine? Please, please someone show me this.
All through Jesus's ministry and today there is only two conditions that will guarantee our eternal security. We only have to believe and obey. Believe in the complete sacrifice Christ paid and turn from iniquity and do as Jesus told the paralytic at the pool and the woman caught in adultery— Go and sin no more or something worse will happen to you. John 5:14 ~ Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee.
John 8:11 ~ She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.
We are commanded to obey all of Christ's teachings and commands. It is ludicrous and even borders on outright blasphemy to imagine that there is no sin, nothing we could do, not even turning our back on Jesus and walking away from Him, that would cause us to lose our place in eternity. As I said and I'm very hesitant right now to call these men and women for what they are. God's Word in 1 John 2: 4 (Amp) says this ~ Whoever says, I know Him [I perceive, recognize, understand and am acquainted with Him] but fails to keep and obey His commandments (teachings) is a liar, and the Truth [of the Gospel] is not in him Whew! These are strong words here. A liar? We know there is only one place reserved for all liars.
I have never heard a proponent for OSAS explain Philipians 2: 12 7 13 away. It is impossible to read anything else but as the Amplified translation says ~ Maintain your own salvation with caution and trepidation being very careful to not do anything that might offend or discredit the Gospel of Christ. How much clearer can this get? This has nothing to do with dead works or works of our own strength. What Paul means are good works or works of obedience and obedience alone. Works that our Father has commanded us to do and wrought in us to be able to accomplish them. The same works our father Abraham accomplished. Good works are obeying all God has commanded us to do by Faith. Give to the poor, remember the widows, show the fruits of the spirit. These are all the deeds our Father in heaven has already commanded us to do. These are deeds we shouldn't even think of doing, we should just do them. If we have to think about accomplishing them we need to head back to the Throne Room for a tune up.
And all we have to do is fall back and consider a little looked at part of God's Kingdom Our free will to obey or disobey. God has set this area of our walk as off limits even to Himself. He will never over-ride our free will, I say again never. Every single one of us can walk away from Him and back into the disobedience and rebellion at anytime we choose to do so. But those who stand on the false grace message will deny this. They will deny that we have no free will. That we are somehow sheep penned up forced to be of His flock. He Word above says in John 10: 27 ~ My sheep hear My voice and they FOLLOW ME. This says no where that we are herded or forced to follow Him, does it??? And the obedience to God completely in our walk is working our salvation out with fear and trembling always wondering if we are missing the mark. Always on guard for sin. This is true respect and reverence for our heavenly Father. This nature of obedience should already be wrought in us by the Holy Spirit. I have even heard people say God has to forgive us. That He has no choice but to forgive us. This is disrespect and even spitting in His face. He doesn't have to do anything He is God.
Below take these for example, for someone to believe or teach OSAS, he must embrace a faulty understanding of:
(1) At least seven of the Lord's parables:
*The Prodigal (Luke 15: 11 - 32)
*The Sower Sows the Seed (Luke 8: 5 - 15)
*The Fruitless Fig Tree (Luke 13: 6 - 9)
*The Faithful and Just Manager (Luke 12: 45 & 46; Matthew 24: 45 - 51)
*The Unmerciful Servant 18: 21 - 35)
*The Ten Virgins (Matthew 25: 1 - 13)
*The Talents (Matthew 25: 24 - 30)
(2) All of the warnings cited in the gospels and epistles given to Christians, which refer to their possible loss of salvation are Matthew 5: 22; 10: 22; 10: 28; 10: 33; 18: 1 - 3; Romans 11: 19 - 23; Galatians 5: 19 - 21; 6: 8 - 10; Ephesians 5: 5 - 7; Revelation 2: 10 & 11; 22: 19
(3) All of the many other Scriptures that teach that sin can bring a true Christian to his spiritual death - Romans 8: 13; James 1: 14, 15; Galatians 6: 8, 9
(4) All of the specific examples of saved individuals who, after their regeneration, became temporarily lost again or totally and finally fell away and never returned to the Lord Saul, David, Solomon, Judas Iscariot
Again, all of these Scriptures must be avoided or distorted by the OSAS teachers to the point where OSAS will not be jeopardized by their clear meaning. Then on the other hand, all of the Scriptures used as proof texts for OSAS must be mishandled somehow to bolster this misguided understanding about OSAS! This would include Scriptures like John 10: 28; Romans 8: 38, 39; Jude 24 With all of this in mind, there very well could be hundreds of verses which have been avoided, distorted or misinterpreted by OSAS teachers to support their false gospel and most importantly the False Grace Message. It is even more prevalent in the church today than the doctrine of a secret rapture. As I said above—It is a message that we cannot out-sin the grace of God. How ludicrous and arrogant this is.
The Gospel of Christ is written only for believers. I repeat---The Gospel of Christ is written only for those who believe there is a God in heaven that is the creator of the universe. The Bible isn't written for the world of the lost. It is for the ones who answer Gods call. It's an operators manual for the child of God. We as believers sometimes forget this. Hebrews 11: 6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that cometh to God must first believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him. This verse says that to come close to God and believe in His promises, you first have to first acknowledge He exists. How can you have a relationship with someone you don't believe exists? The world of the lost give our Father no thought whatsoever except to use His name as a curse word.
Consider this Truth—There is no reason for anyone to defend this doctrine of once saved-always saved which goes hand in hand with the false grace message except for the reason that it comes against the sacred cow called eternal security with no conditions. These they hold on to this fallacious reasoning hold it with a death grip. And it also rams up against the white washed mud walls of religious Christendom that these are hiding behind This prophesy in Ezekiel is against these false prophets. The men and women who teach the sheep comfort and peace out of their own heart and mind yet there is and will be no peace until all is said and done.
Ezekiel 13: 1 - 14 ~ And the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,
2) Son of man, prophesy against the prophets of Israel that prophesy, and say thou unto them that prophesy out of their own hearts, Hear ye the word of the Lord;
3) Thus saith the Lord God; Woe unto the foolish prophets, that follow their own spirit, and have seen nothing!
4) O Israel, thy prophets are like the foxes in the deserts.
5) Ye have not gone up into the gaps, neither made up the hedge for the house of Israel to stand in the battle in the day of the Lord.
6) They have seen vanity and lying divination, saying, The Lord saith: and the Lord hath not sent them: and they have made others to hope that they would confirm the word.
7) Have ye not seen a vain vision, and have ye not spoken a lying divination, whereas ye say, The Lord saith it; albeit I have not spoken?
8) Therefore thus saith the Lord God; Because ye have spoken vanity, and seen lies, therefore, behold, I am against you, saith the Lord God.
9) And mine hand shall be upon the prophets that see vanity, and that divine lies: they shall not be in the assembly of My people, neither shall they be written in the writing of the house of Israel, neither shall they enter into the land of Israel; and ye shall know that I am the Lord God.
10) Because, even because they have seduced My people, saying, Peace; and there was no peace; and one built up a wall, and, lo, others daubed it with untempered mortar:
11) Say unto them which daub it with untempered mortar, that it shall fall: there shall be an overflowing shower; and ye, O great hailstones, shall fall; and a stormy wind shall rend it.
12) Lo, when the wall is fallen, shall it not be said unto you, Where is the daubing wherewith ye have daubed it?
13) Therefore thus saith the Lord God; I will even rend it with a stormy wind in My fury; and there shall be an overflowing shower in Mine anger, and great hailstones in My fury to consume it.
14) So will I break down the wall that ye have daubed with untempered mortar, and bring it down to the ground, so that the foundation thereof shall be discovered, and it shall fall, and ye shall be consumed in the midst thereof: and ye shall know that I am the Lord.
This eternal security with no conditions doctrine is defended tooth and nail by most in the Christendom. Personally I get attacked regularly by believers that hold to this reasoning I've been called anti-Christ, demon possessed and even cursed by some of these brethren. And I wonder why? Why would they get so angry at someone that quotes only what comes from the Gospel of Christ? There is only a couple of reasons for this behavior. They either are in the infant stage of Christian growth or they indeed are not saved. The majority of these saved only know and stand on what their pastor teaches and OSAS is it. It's the doctrine of the day. It's truly a flesh gratifying doctrine if there ever was one.
This doctrine really makes my Lord Jesus's torturous sacrifice on the cross of no worth. Why did our Father in heaven send His only begotten Son to earth and pour out His blood for the sins, misdeeds, and inhumanities of all mankind if He were going to nullify this sacrifice by overlooking any transgression committed after salvation? What was the sacrifice for? They say, the sacrifice was for the remission of all sins. And you mean to tell me this even includes sins committed after salvation? Most assuredly, He will forgive, if we stumble and sin after we're saved, but He won't turn a blind eye to unrepentant sin or a child of His continually never learning from their mistakes. Stumbling isn't the same as seeing a hole and wilfully jumping in it. This is why we are to work our salvation out, with fear and trepidation, cautious to not offend the Gospel of Christ or God. This is why we are to study ourselves approved. He most assuredly won't condone willful sin after salvation. Hebrews 10: 26 & 27 says this ~ ~ For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the Truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
(27) But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. Looking at this–I see it as is a very clear condition to salvation.
Eternal security with no conditions just doesn't make sense knowing that God commands us to obey Him. It goes against everything our Father is about. Why did Jesus, completely through His ministry, warn us with the words Where there is weeping and gnashing of teeth. What were all the warnings for about eternal punishment? Why are we cautioned to stay on the narrow path? Why are we commanded to obey? What is all the teaching on sin for? We all need to do our best to stop the proliferation of this teaching. For some, it's a very appealing thought to think God has to give them entry into paradise no matter what their spiritual standing is, just because they believe in Jesus? Even demons believe and bow their knee to Yeshua. This doesn't give them entry into paradise. Speaking for myself, I think they are spitting in His face. For some, and you'll read the verses as you go on, it's a little too late, their heart has already been hardened and there's no turning back. There is a point where your heart can become so hard, you couldn't turn back if you wanted to. And there is a point where God will give you over to your own iniquity. He is longsuffering and patient but not to the point of willful outright rebellion.
What is so tragic is there are a lot of Christ loving brothers and sisters that are in Christ going to their grave with false assurance. Speaking for myself, with my eternal life on the line, I would want to be very sure that I'm right. I surely wouldn't stand on very weak cases interpreted by mans reasoning that can be twisted to mean anything. We cannot continue to pick and glean verses out of God's Word to stand on just because they are comfortable and sound good to our flesh. And I sure wouldn't want to stand before My Lord on that great day and say, But Lord, this is what I was taught all my life by my pastor!
We are judged by what we believe and stand on, not by what we're taught. I will say that again, We are judged and rewarded by what we stand on, truth or lies. As the Truth will judge the righteous, lies will judge the wicked. I would want to be positively certain of my standing with God. And I know you would also. There is one thing I found out about God's Word, if His words don't give a direct, clear, cannot mean anything else command, you better go into it deeper to get at least 2 other witnesses in there to cross reference it to. There's always a inner and deeper layer of understanding, you just have to be diligent to find it. Truth will always back up Truth. They are preaching against the Gospel of Christ. What do we think the apostles did, just stand around reciting poetry saying, I believe in Jesus and His sacrifice and that's enough. It is enough for a newborn, but not for someone that's in the walk of sanctification. Setting apart of the consecration unto Sanctification comes by the complete obedience to the Gospel of Christ and the preaching thereof.
Just consider all that have gone before us ~ Jesus gave His life for this Gospel.
Stephen was brutally stoned to death the whole while shouting the Gospel of Christ.
Peter was crucified upside down for this Gospel of Christ.
Andrew was crucified on an X shaped cross for this Gospel of Christ.
Bartholomew was flayed alive with knives for this Gospel of Christ.
James the brother of Jude was sawed to pieces for this Gospel of Christ.
Jude was killed with arrows for the Gospel of Christ.
Philip died by hanging for this Gospel of Christ.
Thomas was killed with a spear for this Gospel of Christ. Millions have given all they had for the Gospel of Christ. And we today stand on this fallacious reasoning that it can't be lost??? We have become way too comfortable in our modern life.
Take this likening unto ~ You have an 18 year old daughter living in your home. Your daughter goes out and comes home with a different man every night. In spite of all the times she's been told to stop this behavior in your house, she continues to do the same thing. She knows the rules, you've told her to stop, but she won't respect you and obey you. Now she is still your daughter, but because of a complete disregard for your wishes and rules that you've laid down in your household, she has separated herself from your household. She has done this thing of her own free will. You as the father didn't twist her arm into disobedience. How long would you put up with this behavior? Forever? I don't think so. Well, our heavenly Father has a house and all the New Covenant believers reside in it. If you tried to behave like this in His house, forever totally disregarding His warnings and in short defying Him and blatantly disobeying His commands, do you think He would put up with this indefinitely? I don't think so. He is long suffering but not to the point where He will allow a child of His to go to hell for their sin. He will chastize and warn but there is a time when He won't warn anymore. Did He put up with the Israelites disobedience and rebellion forever? At some point, only He knows when, the warnings will stop and He will give you over to your own disobedience to be disciplined by the god of this world.
Listen to what Paul said in a case of this nature, 1 Corinthians 5: 1 - 5 ~ It is reported commonly that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not so much as named among the Gentiles, that one should have his father's wife.
2) And ye are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he that hath done this deed might be taken away from among you.
3) For I verily, as absent in body, but present in spirit, have judged already, as though I were present, concerning him that hath so done this deed,
4) In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ,
5) To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.
The saved as well as this daughter live in a fathers house. The father of that house sets the rules and those that live there are bound to abide by them or they are thrown out.
As long as we are in this corrupt flesh, we will be ever faced with sin in our life. Well, this is what the once saved ~ always saved doctrine stands for. A complete disregard and a perversion of the grace our Father pours out so freely. This grace is not to be abused or perverted. But, God in His wisdom knew certain men would creep in through some other way and pervert His grace into lasciviousness and a license to sin, and this is what the unconditional security doctrine is about, Jude in 3 - 8 says this ~ Jude, the servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to them that are sanctified by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ, and called:
2) Mercy unto you, and peace, and love, be multiplied.
3) Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.
4) For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.
2 Peter 2: 1 - 6 ~ But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
2) And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.
3) And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.
4) For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;
5) And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;
6) And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an example unto those that after should live ungodly; (7) And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked:
8) (For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds;)
9) Now if all these things are true; The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:
Notice verse one of 2 Peter, ~ But there were false prophets also among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies even denying the Lord that bought them. Notice this last verse, false prophets, bringing with them damnable heresies even denying our Lord Jesus Who bought them. Notice also Jude 4 These men were bought by Jesus' blood. These men were saved and bought by Jesus but they turned God's grace into a license to sin, so they are damned. These men were saved but lost their salvation. How much of God's Word does it take to prove this doctrine is doctrine a of demons ?
There's another doctrine going around the internet that ties in the OSAS teaching that's just as ludicrous and dangerous. It is the doctrine of Universalism and it speaks of an all mankind will be saved and enter into paradise message. And this doctrine also says no one can ever lose their salvation but it goes on further. It says you don't even have to be saved to get into paradise. In fact you don't even have to know God. It says no matter what caliber or how big the infraction is, all mankind will be reconciled to God in the end. They lean on a false and incomplete definition of the words reconcile, reconciled and reconciliation. This is in spite of any sin that's committed, and no matter how evil this person is. Needless to say, this really blows my mind! They that teach this puke will be judged very severely for leading astray the sheep and lambs. God will require them to pay for the ones they have misled with their own blood. Ezekiel 3: 17 - 21
I see how the Word can be manipulated and taken out of context in order to line up with OSAS doctrine. I do believe my Father in heaven loves all mankind so much so that He would want all men to be saved. And I believe if we had a Father in heaven that cared very little about His childrens spiritual health, we could do anything we wanted and still be rewarded by Him. Some say because He's so merciful He overlooks our transgressions. God's Word says we store up wrath for the day of wrath when we continually disobey. In this witness in Romans 2: 4 - 11 Paul is referring to unrighteous judgment, God is not a respecter of persons. As there is no respect of sin. Sin is sin to Him. There is different degrees of punishment for some sins. Some lead to spiritual death, some don't. But all sin leads to chastisement. ~ Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?
5) But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;
6) Who will render to every man according to his deeds:
7) To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:
8) But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, (the Gospel of Christ), but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath,
9) Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile;
10) But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile:
11) For there is no respect of persons with God.
Our Father makes it very clear in black and white. Righteousness = Reward ~ Unrighteousness = Punishment. What is not understood is our Father cannot allow anyone into the presence of His glory that has unrepented sin in their life or anyone who is spiritually soiled. No one will enter into heaven with filthy spiritual clothing.
Some believe and teach that no one can have their name erased from the Book of Life. The Gospel of Christ says different. Revelation 3: 3 - 5 ~ Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.
4) Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy.
5) He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels. So in contrast to verse 5, He that doesn't overcome and has soiled raiment can have his name blotted out of the Book of Life. This is clear enough.
Another one of the witnesses the proponents for eternal security for all mankind go to is 1 Timothy 2: 3 & 4 ~ For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;(4) Who will have all men to be saved, and to come into the knowledge of the Truth. The Amplified translation says For such (praying) is good and right, and (it is) pleasing and acceptable to God our Saviour. (4) Who wishes all men to be saved and (increasingly) to perceive and recognize and discern and know precisely and (correctly) the Divine Truth. Some would say, whatever God wishes and whatever He wants will manifest. Remember God wanted Adam and Eve to obey Him. It was also in God's wishes that the Israelites not complain, obey Him, and go over and possess the promised Land. But we know what happened there. I say again, Our free will is off limits to God, He made it that way.
As He was with the carnal Israelites in the wilderness, so He is with the spiritual Isralites today. Our Father wants all of mankind to welcome Him and worship Him. God wishes all of mankind would come into the knowledge of the Truth and turn from sin to be counted of His household. I say again, the one place our Father has set as out of bounds for even Him, is the area of our free will. He has never and never will He interfere in our free choice to accept Him or reject Him or obey Him or disobey Him.
There are many witnesses in God's Word that attest to a conditional salvation. Matthew 10: 22 ~ And ye shall be hated by all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved. This witness is preceeded by Jesus's explaination about what would happen to His disciples if they followed in His footsteps. He is telling them that if they persevere and stay on track, and refrain from seeking fleshly motives, they would come to the end of their natural life ready to be presented to The Father.1 Corinthians 15: 1 & 2 ~ Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
2) By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. Colossians 1: 21 - 23 ~ And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled.
22) In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:
23) If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;
No one can be presented to God with soiled raiment. Yeshua has to present us spotless wearing white raiment. Matthew 24: 13 ~ But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. Mark 16: 16 ~ He that believeth, and is baptized shall be saved: but he that believeth not, shall be damned.
Sounds like one of the conditions for salvation to me.Romans 10: 13 makes it clear as to a condition a salvation ~ For whosoever shall call upon the name of The Lord, shall be saved. 1 Peter 4: 17 & 18 ~ For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God; and if it first begin at us: what shall the end be for them that obey not the Gospel of God?
18) And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?
The two witnesses I always go to that I consider the litmus test for weeding out the untruths concerning OSAS is Hebrews 6: 1 - 8 ~
1) Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ,(salvation) let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,
2) Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.
3) And this will we do, if God permit.
4) For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,
5) And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,
6) If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.
7) For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receiveth blessing from God:
8) But that which beareth thorns and briers is rejected, and is nigh unto cursing; whose end is to be burned.
In verse 6 of the prior verses Paul is telling them right from the start that He wanted them to get passed the milk of God's Word and on to the meat. He's saying they should've grasped by now the doctrine of baptism and repentance, and the resurrection of the dead in Christ. If they would permit, he would be leading them on to the things of spiritual maturity. Verse 4 says it is impossible to restore or bring someone into repentance that has been enlightened or that they have seen the illumination of the Gospel of Christ. And has tasted how good salvation was and has received the indwelling of The Holy Ghost. If they then fall away, He says its impossible to resave them. It is impossible for them to stay saved.
Hebrews 10: 26 & 27 also says For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
27) But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.
Think about it. If someone has felt the full joy of the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. And has gotten a glimpse into the glories waiting for us in the Kingdom of Heaven or our inheritance. And has had what I call a complete meltdown or their spirit has been broken, clearly with a contrite heart, and has understood what God's Word says about Christ and His trumphant Kingdom, and His price that He payed for our faithlessness. If this person then falls away; How could they ever be brought back. I mean, what would be the reason to come back? They have already had God's Kingdom in their hands. What joy or what treasures would bring them back now?
His Word says in 2 Peter 2: 20 - 22 (Amp) ~ For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the full, personal knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, then again become entangled in them and overcome, their last condition is worse for them than the first.
21) For never to have obtained a full personal knowledge of the way of righteousness would have been better for them than having obtained such knowledge, and to turn back from the holy commandment which was vebally given to them.
22) There has befallen them the thing spoken of in the true proverb. The dog turns back to his own vomit, and the sow is washed, only to wallow again in the mire. This crosses well with Hebrews 6. Verse 20 says if we become entangled back in the worldly realm, after coming to the full spiritual knowledge of Gospel of Christ, and if we are overcome, We would be worse off than if he had never been saved. This is clear enough.
Those that would have us believe in salvation with no conditions fight tooth and nail on the understanding that If one ever got lost he was never found. ~ John 17:12
If one falls, he never stood. ~ Romans 11:16-22 and Hebrews 6:4-6
If one was ever cast forth, he was never in if one ever withered, he was never green. ~ John 15:1-6
If any man draws back it proves that he never had anything to draw back from. ~ Hebrews 10:38 & 38
If one ever falls away into spiritual darkness, he was never enlightened ~ Hebrews 6:4-6
If you again get entangled in the pollutions of the world, it shows that you never escaped.~ 2 Peter 2:20
If you make shipwreck of faith, there was no ship of faith there! ~ 1 Timothy 1:19
In short they say: If you get it, you can't lose it; and if you lose it you never had it. May God save us from accepting a doctrine, that must be defended by such fallacious reasoning! I can't stress this enough, if you embrace this OSAS doctrine, you are making your bed with the devil. This is exactly the doctrine he would dream up especially in these end times.
