God's True Rest

Hebrews 3: 7 - 19 Wherefore, as the Holy Ghost saith, Today if ye will hear his voice,
8] Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness:
9] When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my works forty years.
10] Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do always err in their heart; and they have not known my ways.
11] So I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into My Rest.
12] Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.
13] But exhort one another daily, while it is called Today; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.
    14] For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast unto the end;
15] While it is said, Today if ye will hear His voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.
16] For some, when they had heard, did provoke: howbeit not all that came out of Egypt by Moses.
17] But with whom was He grieved forty years? was it not with them that had sinned, whose carcasses fell in the wilderness?
18] And to whom sware he that they should not enter into His Rest, but to them that believed not? [19] So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.

Our Father provided all that the wilderness crowd could ever need. Now notice I didn’t say want. There is a difference between what we think we need and what our Father knows we need. He did give them their wants, up to a point. He put up with their grumbling and complaining, up to a point. At some time as it will be with all of us today, that point will come, then He has to deal with us. I will refer to Philippians 4: 19 ~ But my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. This is according to what our Father deems as our needs and the supplying will be done for the glory of Christ. How could Jesus be glorified if God gave us the million dollars we begged Him for if we turned around and lost our salvation?

The wilderness crowd was always in Moses's face asking him to go to the Throne Room and satisfy their desires. Their wants were to go back to the flesh pots of Egypt. There wants were to have meat as they were grumbling and complaining about the menu our Father was serving. There wants were to always have Moses before them with a word from the Lord so they could believe easier. They wanted to go back to Egypt because there had all those jewels and gold and nowhere to spend it. And because they grew tired of the food and the travel accomodations

We are no different today. our Father desires to supply all our needs according to the glory of Christ but that isn’t good enough. We are taught in this entity called the church to bombard the gates of Heaven for anything we can dream up. Our Father desires to go before us in the day as a pillar of cloud to shade us from the heat of the day. He desires to go before us as a pillar of fire to light our way at night. Exodus 13:21. All that is left for us to do is to follow these pillars and do not complain. That was what they where supposed to do, just follow where He led. When Moses wasn’t before them all the time making many petitions unto the Lord, trying to get their iniquities pardoned. They got so impatient because Moses had been gone they thought too long, They chose Aaron to lead them in an god making party. Exodus 32: 1 & 2 And when the people saw that Moses delayed to come down out of the mount, the people gathered themselves together to Aaron, and said to him, Up, make us gods, which shall go before us; for as for this Moses, the man that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we know not what is become of him.
2] And Aaron said unto them, Break off the golden earrings, which are in the ears of your wives, of your sons, and of your daughters, and bring them unto me".
It sure didn’t take a lot of persuasion to get Aaron to agree to this abominable act. He and Moses disobedience at Mirabah, was the reason why they both could not cross over. And not only that. The last straw was their turning from the One True God to idols. In 1 Corinthians 10: 8 (amp)Paul says We must not gratify evil desire and indulge in immorality as some of them did---and 23,000 (suddenly) fell dead in a single day! Numbers 25: 1 - 18

Hebrews 4: 1 Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into His Rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.
2] For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but The Word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.
3] For we which have believed do enter into rest, as He said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into My Rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.
4] For He spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all His works.
5] And in this place again, If they shall enter into My Rest.
6] Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief:
7] Again, He limiteth a certain day, saying in David, Today, after so long a time; as it is said, Today if ye will hear His voice, harden not your hearts.
8] For if Joshua had given them rest, then would He not afterward have spoken of another day.

This prior verse is saying, If their rest was to come from Joshua, and them entering into Canaan, David would not have spoke of another day where this rest is still available, Psalms 95: 7 - 11 For he is our God; and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand. Today if ye will hear his voice,
    8) Harden not your heart, as in the provocation, and as in the day of temptation in the wilderness:
    9) When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my work.
    10) Forty years long was I grieved with this generation, and said, It is a people that do err in their heart, and they have not known my ways:
    11) Unto whom I sware in my wrath that they should not enter into my rest.

Hebrews 4: 9 - 16 Says there remains to this day a Sabbath-rest reserved for the true people of God.There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.
10] For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from His.
11] Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.
12] For The Word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
13] Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in His sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of Him with whom we have to do.
14] Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus The Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.
15] For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.
16] Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
This Sabbath-rest spoken of isn't a Sunday at church. This isn't any special day at all. This Sabbath-rest is a permanent ceasation of ALL labors by the children of God. There are no works to be done. This is the leaning back into the arms of God and letting Him handle the running of your life. Hebrews 4: 10 in the Amplified translation says it this way ~ For he who has once entered (God's) rest also has ceased from (the weariness and pain) of human labors, just as God rested from those labors perculiarly His own.

Our Father desires His children to lean completely on His strength. We can liken this relationship that He desires with us to the relationship that we ourselves desire with our own children. I wonder how we would feel if our own children always sought some other way of providence and protection other than from us, their own parents? Speaking for myself, I would get sorely jealous. We also have a heavenly Father that has a burning jealous love for His true children. We are a stubborn, ignorant of God's purposes race of people. Why is so hard to just let Him take care of all our needs? One reason is we are a sickningly prideful lot. Pride is the original sin. All other sins sprouted from this seed. As we well know, God hates a prideful heart. As soon as pride enters in, our relationship with Him ends.

Ezekiel 20: 10 - 20 (Amp) So I caused them to go out from the land of Egypt and brought them into the wilderness.
11] And I gave them My statutes and showed them My judgments, which if a man keeps, he must live in and by them.
12] Moreover, also I gave them My Sabbaths to be a sign between Me and them, that they realize and understand that I Am The Lord Who sanctifies them (separates and sets them apart).
13] But the house of Israel rebelled against Me in the wilderness; they walked not in My statutes and they dispised and cast away Me judgments, which, if a man keeps, he must even live in and by them; and they grieviously profaned My Sabbaths. then I thought I would pour out My wrath on them in the wilderness and uproot them and consume them.
14]But I acted for My names sake, [Moses] that it should not be profaned before the (heathen) nations in whose sight I brought them out.
15]Yet also I lifted up My hand to swear to them in the wilderness that I would not bring them into the land which I had given them, flowing with milk and honey, which is the ornament and glory of all the lands.
16] Because they despised and rejected My ordinances and walked not in My statutes and profaned My Sabbaths, for their hearts went after their own idols.
17] Yet My eye pitied them instead of destroying them, and I did not make a full end of them in the wilderness.
18] But I said to their sons in the wilderness, you shall not walk in the statutes of your fathers nor observe their ordinances nor defile yourselves with their idols.
19]I The Lord am your God; walk in My statutes and keep My ordinances, [20] And hallow (separate and keep holy) My Sabbaths, and they shall be your sign between Me and you, that they may know, understand, and realize that I Am The Lord your God.

The Sabbath from here on out as I refer to it will mean the Rest or God's true rest. This is not Sunday morning, although you can rest on Sunday. Our Father intended everyday to be a Sabbath rest for us. Man in his works minded and religious way of trying to please God was the one who set aside a certain day to be called The Sabbath. To some sects it is Sunday, to some it's Saturday. Paul warned us about the ones who would observe certain days as more Holy. Why not just count all days as Sabbaths ? He says in Ezekiel 20: 12 (Amp) Moreover, also I gave them My Sabbaths to be a sign between Me and them, that they realize and understand that I Am The Lord Who sanctifies them (separates and sets them apart) How much clearer can it be people? My paraphrase goes, I gave them My Sabbaths to be a sign between Me and them that I have separated them unto Myself.

I will say this again on every page because it really has to be burned into our hearts of understanding: Everything that has happened all down through biblical time will always circle back and repeat the same circumstances over and over until time is no more. The same spirits that God used then will be used again in someone else. There is nothing new under the sun. There is nothing that will happen that hasn't already happened except the completion of His Kingdom once and for all. This is the only thing that pertains to our walk into eternity that is constant. There is only new travelers to walk these same old paths into eternity. Now if this is true, and lets just consider it to be just that, Why can't we do just the opposite of what was done in the bible that displeased God, and do the things in the Word that pleased Him? No one ever considers this. The Word was written for our instruction. Why would God make it so hard for us to be His children? He didn't! We are the ones that make this relationship impossible. He desires that we know Him intimately. Why do we not want that also ? I don't know people, this thing is a whole lot simpler than we make it out to be.

Galatians 4: 9 & 19 (Amp) ~ Now, however, that you have come to be acquainted with and understand and know (the true) God, or rather to be understood and known by God, how can you turn back again to the weak and beggarly and worthless elementary things (of all religions before Christ came), whose slave you once more want to become.
10] You observe (particular) days and months and seasons and years.
11] I am alarmed (about you), lest I have labored among you and over to no purpose and in vain.
12] Brethren, I beg you, become as I am (free from bondage of Jewish ritualism and ordinances), for I also have become as you are (a Gentile). You did me no wrong (in the days when I first came unto you; do not do it now).
See, Paul understands about our trying to work our way to The Father

Trying to please God, and thinking that going and going and doing and doing is gonna gain you some brownie points with Him. It doesn't impress Him in and of itself unless it's mixed with faith. Tithing your life away while Pastor lives in a $400,000 home and goes on 5 or 6 vacations in the guise of retreats, does nothing but fill his bank account. Not that that should matter to us because of the money---It should matter only because it is fostered by lies coming from these men and women.

The reason why I'm nailing down the leaven spreaders or false teachers is all of this hinderance to the Body of Christ entering into God's True Rest comes from the top. These men and women do not want you trusting God for all things. They preach just the opposite. They tell you you must give all your money to the offering basket so pastor can dole it out to the hungry and needy. They tell you these are God's good works. Please someone show me in His Word where He says that. These are indeed filthy rags.

There are two basic things that will keep you out of God's True Rest. One is grumbling and complaining. Complaining is a direct slap in the face to God. You are saying He doesn’t know how to run things and you do not appreciate it. You say that you pray for God's will in you life but when something uncomfortable comes against your precious flesh, the whining to God starts. " But, Please God, I want this or that thing", or "Why did you let this or that thing happen God"? All we have to do is read Exodus and Numbers to see what happens to a people that is always off in the complaint mode.

The other thing that will keep you from God's True Rest is simply you not accepting that Rest, by never stopping to try to work your way to righteousness. You think that going to church will let you enter in---It won't!. you think that tithing reverently will let you in,---It won't! You think that performing what you believe to be good works will be your entry ticket,---It's not!

Anything done fleshly or carnally is dead works. And it is a stench in our Lord's nostrils. You are saying to Him, I don’t need you God, I will work my own way, then I’ll rest. Listen Brethren, I truly am sorry for the church that hasn’t realized true freedom In Christ. True freedom is knowing that our Father is running the operation of things and He doesn’t need our help at all. He doesn’t even need our worship---we need to worship Him. Our ability to reach an unadulterated, unrestrained, uninhibited, unselfish, worship mode of our Father, was designed by Him, to glorify us. We will not attain that glory in this carnal walk, but this carnal walk mixed with Faith, will be our entry ticket into that Glory!

Look, We have at some point in this walk to be able to start instructing others how to walk the walk. We have been taught that is only for Theologians, bible scholars, and scribes, pastors etc.., and not for everyday Fathers and Mothers. I submit these are the only ones God has given the authority to instruct in the ways of the Eternal walk. If just one parent would instruct the children, all families would be grounded in Truth. But you can't go to theology classes to learn. You need to go to the Throne Room yourself to get the Spiritual Wisdom to raise up your children in the ways that they should go so that they will never depart from those righteous ways.. It has to start at home people, not in Sunday school class.

God's True Rest is not in the church building. This is a Rest that has to enter into your own personal tabernacle your body ~ the True Church. This is a Sabbath rest reserved for God's true children.

I BID HEART PEACE AND ALL SPIRITUAL BLESSING UNTO YOU FROM HIS THRONE OF GRACE!
