The Peterborough Temple Times On-Line

History of The Peterborough Temple Times

The Peterborough Temple YP Corps Newlsetter publication is printed monthly and is made up of articles submitted by Peterborough Temple Salvation Army young people and their leaders. It also keeps our Corps family advised of upcoming events, special guests and news related items.

In September of 1996 the Sunday School launched an in-Corps competition whereby adults and youth were invited to suggest names for our new publication. Once all of the entries were recorded people from within our Church family were asked to vote on a "catchy title" - hence, The Peterborough Temple Times named by Shannon Rowe. The premier edition was distributed in November of 1996. The number of copies that are given out has grown from an initial total of 100 to 300. The Peterborough Temple Times is given to Sunday School children and adults within our Corps family. It is also given to newcomers, visitors to open air and park meetings, & hospital patients. The Temple Times is mailed to family, friends and former Peterborough students and soldiers who are either attending colleges and universities in another city or have moved away.

In February 1998 the Temple Times will be available on-line. You can now access past editions in addition to the most current edition via the net. There is no telling the number of people who will visit our site at this point in time. The Lord has granted us a real opportunity to minister to many people.
