Peterborough Temple's Youth Corps Motto - 1998/99

This past June, Peterborough Temple's young people "went to the Polls" to select a new scripture verse motto for the 1998/99 Sunday School year.

We thank Linda Smoke for thaking the time to share with us her favourite scripture. Linda was awarded a "family size meal deal" from Pizza Nova but more importantly we all have a verse to commit to memory which is both motivational and inspirational.

"They that wait on the Lord shall have their strength renewed"

Isaiah 40:31

The Sunday School Shuffle!

On September 3 the youth workers met to discuss the upcoming Sunday School year. We have a Christian Education program for the whole family. Major Sandra Lewis will be replacing Debbie Wombwell as YPSM. Major Lewis is available to speak with you about all areas of childrens' programming and can direct you to the right Youth Worker.

Summer 1998 - Vacation Bible School Report (July 1998)

20 boys & girls ages 5 - 12 met at the Temple for VBS. Justin & Angela Bradbury, with a team of 7 summer camp counselors, presented the gospel by using a "Space Mission" theme. The children especially enjoyed "Weezer the Robot". As a result of followup visitation we look forward to 3-4 children joining us in Sunday School.
