Baseball or Hockey - We're All Winners
Family Services & The Philadelphia Flyers

Our Community & Family Services Dept., with the help of its volunteers, completed a very successful joint venture with the Memorial Centre. Admission to the training sessions of the Philadelphia Flyers during the second weekend of Sept. was a donation of non-perishable food products to the Family Service Dept.
Hockey fans donated 74 boxes of food and over $2, 200 to help feed needy people in our community!

Thanks to Julie Levesque for coordinating this project!

Craft Idea for a Rainy Day ...

Take an empty pill bottle and fill with the following colored jelly beans. Teach your child the plan of Salvation!

Red is for the blood He gave,
Green is for the grass He made.
Yellow is for the sun so bright,
Orange is for the edge of night.
Black is for the sins we made,
White is for the grace He gave.
Purple is for His hour of sorrow,
Pink is for our new tomorrow.

Classroom Feature

All ten classes (primary & Sr.), with their enthusiastic and well prepared teachers met for the first fall Sunday on September 20.

Special thanks to Alice's class for an excellent song presentation of a new chorus "I'm a little Christian" to the tune of "I'm a little tea pot". Everyone wanted to sing along!

The Singing Company and Youth Band have already blessed us with their "sacred" sound.
