County of Monroe

On this day of October A. D., one thousand nine hundred and Eight personally appeared before me, a Notary Public within and for the County and State aforesaid, Edward Coon who, being duly sworn according to law, declares that he is 75 years of age, and a resident of Perinton County of Monroe, State of New York, and that he is the identical person who was enrolled at Palmyra, State of New York, under the name of Edward Coon, on the 3rd day of September, 1862 as a Private in Co. B,  Regiment 160th N. Y. Vol in the service of the United States in the Civil War, and was transferred to serve in Reserve Corps by Gen. Order #173 from Department Co. G 20 Regt on the ... day of September 1864, and was discharged at Baltimore, Maryland, Oct. 31st, 1865. That he was not employed in the military or naval service of the United States otherwise than as stated above. That his personal description at enlistment was as follows: Height 5 feet 6 inches, complexion, Dark, color of eyes, Blue, color of hair, Black. That his occupation was Farmer. That he was born September27,1833, at Ontario Co. State of New York. That his several places of residence since leaving the service have been as follows, from date of discharge: Farmington, Ontario Co., N. Y. & Perinton, Monroe Co., N. Y. where he now resides. That he is a pensioner under pension certificate No. 338113. That he has ......... heretofore applied for pension. That he makes this declaration for the purpose of being placed on the pension roll of the United States, under the provisions of the act of February 6th, 1907. That his post office address is Fairport, County of Monroe State of N. Y.
