Born: October 1, 1821 - Hope, Montgomery (now Hamilton) County, New York.

Died: June 27, 1898 - Chittenango Station, Madison County, New York.

Born: August 15, 1823.

Died: January 22, 1901 - Chittenango Station, Madison County, New York.

Parents of:

1. Joseph Clark Carpenter, (b. November 27, 1841, d. December 21, 1842).

2. George W. Carpenter, (b. 1844). Served with the 157th Infantry, Company I, New York State Volunteers during the American Civil War.

3. Robert J. Carpenter, (b. September 3 or 8, 1846, d. April 9, 1865 in Dingle Mills, South Carolina). Served with the 157th Infantry, Company I, New York State Volunteers during the American Civil War. Fought in a number of battles in Maryland, Pennsylvania and South Carolina.  He was killed in action during a battle at Dingle's Mills, South Carolina. The battle was also known as "Sumter".

4. Harriet Francelia Carpenter, (b. February 5, 1852, Chittenango, Madison Co., NY, died March 20, 1936, Prongua, Sask.

5. William Elwin Carpenter, (b. April 28, 1854, Chittenango, Madison Co., NY, d. 1925, Chittenango.

6. Elizabeth Jane Carpenter, (b. July 31, 1857, Chittenango, Madison Co., NY, d. April 1, 1897).  Married William Edwin Prosser.

7. Clara Aldora Carpenter, (b. March 24, 1860, Chittenango, Madison Co., NY, d. 1926), married George Pieterse Bender.

8. Mary Phidilia Carpenter, (b. August 6, 1865 - (or December 3, 1848), Chittenango, Madison Co., NY, d. October 1929).

9. Nettie Alnora Carpenter, (b. July 31, 1871, Chittenango, Madison Co., NY).
