     These groups have different philosophies and ideas. Some are religious (usually non-sectarian), but they even (:-) help atheists - you won't be required to "convert."
     Most orgs can refer you to change-friendly therapists and support groups, with local branches nationwide. Many services are low-cost or free.
     As Homosexuals Anonymous states - and they all might agree - they don't endorse or oppose any political causes, gay organizations or movements. They do not engage in arguments that draw members away from maturing their relationships with those around them and rediscovering their true identity.

The first Jewish outreach organization to assist men and women working through issues of same-sex attractions. Founded in 1999, they embrace all Jews, regardless of an individual's religious commitment or lack thereof.
     Jonah works to educate the Jewish community about the nature and causes of same-sex attractions and the real possibility of change."The Torah lacks a word for homosexual because traditional Jewish belief considers homosexuality a learned behavior. It can be unlearned - it is not an identity and it is not inborn."

     "The purpose of H.A. is to support individuals seeking that freedom. Group support is available through weekly H.A. meetings. Guidance is received through the shared experiences and growth of others. Strength is acquired by training the faith response through the 14 steps."
     They also work to help if "you are a parent, relative or friend of someone struggling with homosexuality who needs help; if you are a minister, counselor or therapist looking for a support group for someone wanting freedom from homosexuality."
