Why Change?

INTRO: SHORT LIST OF REASONS
     I've seen plenty of the gay/bi world and here's what I've learned: Change is possible, but like many things of value, it may take some effort.

     There are important reasons to consider changing:

• Too much promiscuity and flakiness in the gay/bi world. Lasting love is very hard to find.

• If we don't change, it's hard to avoid lust gaining on us, too.

• For all too many, this eventually leads to multiple sexual encounters with strangers. They can physically attack us or spread disease.

• This includes AIDS, herpes, virulent forms of syphilis, gonorrhea, warts, scabies, hepatitis and other difficult-to-cure illnesses.

• We may be encouraging others to fall further into this empty, dangerous lifestyle.

• A woman is a much better long-term bet for a loving, committed relationship.

     There are many helpful steps we can take. I hope you'll take the steps that are best for you. The decision is yours. One way to start is asking: "What do I have to lose by new insights and thinking?"

     If you have any doubts about the "gay lifestyle," change can work for you, too. If you're not so deep into it yet, it may be easier to change - although not instant. If you've gotten deeper into it, you can still avoid worse difficulties.
