History Our successes have been numerous, beginning with Aust Ch Amasa Extraordinaire (36 inches tall fawn dog) who was NSW Great Dane of the year for 1979/80. He was followed by our beautiful fawn bitch Aust Ch Amasa The Enchantress, who continued the tradition by becoming Australia's top winning bitch of all time with 52 In Show awards to her credit and holding NSW Great Dane of the Year for 1983, 1984 and 1985, honours earned by enormous margins.
We continued then with Aust Ch Amasa Cygnus (36 inches red fawn) with NSW Great Dane of the Year in 1986, 1987 and 1988. We did not wish to rest on our laurels so Aust Ch Amasa Shangrilar took over and was R/U NSW Great Dane of the year in 1991 missing out on first place by 1 point. In 1992 though, she won NSW Great Dane of the Year.
Shangrilar's grandfather was Aust Ch Sherain Scharack (IMP U.K.) our first import. We have always tried to choose our imports carefully to compliment our bitches. Our next import was Aust Ch Walkmyll Envoy (IMP U.K.) bred by Freda Lewis in England. Next is Aust Ch Drumview Raconteur (IMP U.K.) bred by Mickey Ramsay in Scotland.
CH Drumview Raconteur's daughter, Aust Ch Amasa Bonnie Lassy has taken over for Daddy and at the ripe old age of 18 months currently leads the NSW Great Dane of the Year Pointscore for 1997/98.
We are certain of continued success with our latest puppies.
Denise Bennett.
