DEATH WARRANT FOR KING CHARLES I

Graphic from book by Antonia Fraser, "Cromwell The Lord Protector", Alfred A. Knopf, New York, 1973, ISBN 0-394-47034-6, also contains a half tone 3x5 illustration of the King Charles I death warrant, after page 202. This book may be more available in the USA. I found it in my local library and also in a used book store.

The following transcript is from 'The Trial of Charles I' Roger Lockyer
(Ed), Folio Press: J.M. Dent London 1974. Note that the date is 'Old
Style' (when new year's day was 25th March), so we now call it 1649. I
have added slashes(/) to the list of signatures, to try to indicate
where it was split originally into seven columns. (Go column by
column).
