I just created a page on MySpace.com so just click on the link below and I hope to have what is our "Old School" webpage here on Geocities updated soon.
Introduction
Opening paragraph from last newsletter update the Summer of 2001: It is hard to believe that this newsletter started out as Bard and Mollie's
Monthly On-line Newsletter. We published our sonogram pictures of Braiden
on the site for all our family to see and made Geocities monthly newsletter, which drove over 13,000 people to our web page in a matter of few weeks. As Braiden
started getting older the newsletter became a bi-monthly, then a quarterly,
then a Fall/Winter Spring/Summer and now with school and a two year old
it looks like this might have to become a yearly, or even a whenever I
can get to it. Excerpt from Summer 2001 Newsletter
Well I guess it is now obvious that this has now turned into a whenever I can get a round to it thing. Six years ago I started this on-line newsletter as a way update friends and family outside our hometown about the then upcoming birth of first child. We were convinced it would be a girl, which we would name Kailee. The newsletter was then a monthly production that tracked the progress of the pregnancy right up to the ultrasound, where our Kailee turned out to be Braiden, and then through the birth.
Since Braiden was born in the fall of 1998 we have moved from Victoria, to Phoenix, and back to Texas landing in The Woodlands north of Houston. Also the newsletter has gone from a monthly, to a bi-monthly, to a quarterly, then an annual (yearly), and now, considering that the last time I updated it was three years ago, Summer 2001, when I returned from Africa, I guess this has become a "whenever something major happens to warrant an update."
Well, I guess we now have a reason to update. We now have our Kailee. She was born on July 23 at 12:12 a.m. 8 lb. 7 oz. 20 ½ inches long. We jokingly call her the runt because Braiden weighed 9lb. 2 oz., my brothers son Jack was 9 lb. 1 oz, and daughter Kate who was born last April was 8 lb. 14 oz, so Kailee at 8 lb. 7 oz. is technically the runt of the litter. Braiden by the way is doing great and enjoying his new role as “big brother”.
Life Update Spring 2005 I only have about 24 hour of school (16 for my MA and another 8 after that for my M.Div) and last September accepted a position as Couples Pastor positions at Fellowship of The Woodlands Kailee is now 10 months old and into everything. On the verge of walking but not quite made it yet. Braiden has been doing kindergarten via home school and between Awanas, Small Group, Swim lesions, Women’s Bible Study, and Sunday morning at church, he has more friends and knows more people than me and Mollie combined.
Below are a few pictures, some old and some updated, but if this is your first time to the site they they are all new to you.
Left: Braiden is quickly ajusting to life as a big brother.
Right: One of her frist pictures.
Two of my favroite pictures of Kailee, which by the way I took them myself.

Our scanner is old and not the best quality but it functions. Also the webpage builder stretched the picture so Braiden kind of looks like a cone head. However his hair cut is not a scanner malfunction, but a stylest malfunction (first and last time we used her). Braiden is great with Kailee. He is doing all the things a big brother should do and is a big help around the house, although taking dirty diapers to the trashcan in the garage is not one of his favorite chores.
Again, not the best quality picture, but you get the idea. Most of Mollie’s weight gain was Kailee and nobody can believe she just had a baby. I have adjusted to life as the father of a daughter, meaning that I am currently in the market for a tall tower complete with deep moat and large fire breathing dragon to lock Kailee in until she is 30 or I die, which ever comes first.
As I was uploading pictures I discovered that Geocities still had copies of some of the past issues of our newsletter saved on their server. I figured they would have deleted them by now but they are still there. Apparently in the past I deleted some of the pictures and graphics because I had reached the mega bite limit on their server, but the copy is still there. So here they are (later issues are better) for those of you who want to take a walk down memory lane, those of you who what to get some more insight into who we are, for those of you who for some reason appreciate my weird since of humor, and of course for those of you who do not have a life and have nothing better to do that surf the web, here they are….
