A man was walking through an art gallery one day when he came across a picture entitled "Checkmate". The Painting depicted a chess match. On the one side sat a man, sweat rolled down his face as he clutched his head in his hands , a petrified look on his face as he analyzed the board, desperate to find a move. Across from him sat the devil, a large grin on his face. "Checkmate" – the devil wins. As the man looked at the painting, he became aware that something was wrong with the picture. You see, this man was an international chess champion. He studied the painting, his eyes moved from piece to piece, his fingers traced the pieces over and over. Eventually he shouted out, "Hang on young man, hang on, I’ve found the answer!" He asked the gallery to call in the artist. When he arrived, the man took him over to the painting and remarked, "Sir, you have made a mistake in this painting."

"What, where?" asked the artist.

"Well," said the man, "in this painting entitled Checkmate, you have overlooked one major fact."

"And that is?" asked the man.

The man looked the artist in the eyes, proudly pointing to the painting, and said, "THE KING STILL HAS ONE MORE MOVE!"

I don’t know what you are facing today. I don’t know what your circumstances are. I don’t know how you feel or what you are going through. Perhaps you feel like you are in a corner. Perhaps you feel that satan has you in checkmate. What I do know is that if you have made Jesus Christ the KING of your life, then THE KING STILL HAS ONE MORE MOVE.

You’ve probably heard it all before. Just hand Him your problem, cast your cares on Him. BUT IT"S TRUE. If you don’t seem to be able to, then ask Him to give you the grace and strength to do it.

 

"Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened that it cannot save; neither His ear heavy, that it cannot hear." Isaiah 59:1

I don’t know what He has planned for you. I’m not promising that this will be a magic formula that put’s everything right. But I do know that He can carry you through anything.

 

"And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose." Rom 8:28
