OUR OFFICERS

Alistair and Marieke Venter have been the Corps Officers (pastors) of the Pretoria Corps since 1997. They have three daughters, Alison, Terri, and Lauren.

Alistair was part of the "God's Messengers" session which was trained in 1980/81. His appointments as a single officer included Benoni, Queenstown, Worcester and Vereeniging. It was while he was at Vereeneging that his lovely wife Marieke joined him from the "Messengers of Joy" session in 1987. After a short stay together at Vereeneging, they were appointed to Durban, followed by Uitenhage and then Kensington Corps in Port Elizabeth. During the five years in Port Elizabeth, Alistair was also the Divisional Youth Officer, in addition to the Corps. They moved to Pretoria from that appointment.

Coming from a profession as a nursing sister, Marieke has special skills in caring for people, and has also studied in order to help her with marriage counseling. Alistair has conducted a number of Planned Giving Programmes right around the country, and attended the International College for Officers in London at the beginning of 1999.

Alistair and Marieke share the preaching programme each week, and have a sincere desire to serve the Lord just as and when God may need them.
