Well as I said we grow about every thing here wheat/ corn / hay/ peas. dont know if you know much about south east Washington but we dont get much(rain) here, except in the spring and in the winter time . other wise it doesn't rain here we depend on water from the Columbia river for our fields. the bureau pumps the water out of the river in to very large resovors witch are as large as large lakes. from there it run in to(canal's) these canals run lots of water they are like smalls river's in there self. they run what we call acre feet of water. an acre is 43560sq.feet. now a acre foot of water is if you was to have that many sq. feet and the water on it was one foot deep it would =one acre foot of water. that is how they measure the water that they sale the farmer. the canals have(out lets) in the that let's water in to our pumps from there to our (water system's)
