What do you feed them, you may ask. Well, that depends on what kind of fish you have. Some are herbivorous, some omnivorous, and some carnivorous.
Herbivorous Fish
For herbivorous fish you can buy special foods or put some lettuce or zuchini in the tank. Be sure not to leave the lettuce and zuchini in the tank too long because it will foul the water. Peeled peas also work. It might be best to buy the food.
Omnivorous Fish
Omnivorous fish will eat frozen, freezedried, live, and flake.
Carnivorous Fish
Carnivorous fish eat all kinds of live foods. Some live foods include brine shrimp, blood worms, tubifex worms; and for bigger fish, feeder guppies and goldfish.
Feeding Time
You should feed them several small meals a day. Remember never to overfeed because the uneaten food will polute the water. Feed only what the fish can eat within three to five minutes.
