Description:
Their body is elongated. The female is a golden yellow with two blackish stripes going horizonally edged with a light gold. Mature male have a blackish ground color and two light horizonal stripes, each have a torquoise sheen. Both have two stripes on the head.


Breeding:
They are mouthbrooders. The color tells the sex. After 22-26 days the young leave their mothers mouth and can be fed with young cyclops. The young are similar to the females.


Comments:
A very large tank is highly appreciated.
