HI FOLKS Need to note where b'ground came from
"THE CHIHUAHUAS ARE HERE"

Watch out Taco Bell!

We're having a little celebration and we've invited a few of the Georgia Gang to help us celebrate. Our Band Leader is the talented PR aka as Pedro Rodrieguz playing the Piano.

Congratulations to the proud parents: "Mr.BLUE" and "Ms.TAFFY"

They are the proud parents of four! Two girls and two boys.

We need to mention Esther who originated all this.(She's the breeder) There's a story to where Mama Chihuahua and Papa Chihuahua came from. If it hadn't been for "Mommie Dearest" (owner), Mr.D, and, Baktracker, and last but not least, Abbajean, we couldn't tell this.I am so proud to be the fairy godmother of these babies.Do you believe in fairies?

Reading the internet newspapers a day ahead of time, brought us to Taffy,SweetPea(sisters),Blue and Blue's half brother Stonewall Jackson. All of these characters contribute to the story. We also need to credit Karen who met Mr.D and Baktracker in Pennsylvania to help transport them from warm weather to upstate cold weather.

August 1998 Update

Now all these babies are gone to wonderful new homes. I'm sure they will train their new owners.

Now that clear air in those Hills of Uptate New York must do something for Blue aka Don Juan. On July 17 Sweet Pea delivered six puppies. A sad note, however, as one was stillborn. A few days later one of the weaker puppies went to Doggie Heaven. Mommie Dearest did her best to nourish the baby, but it just was not meant to be. Now there are four. We didn't celebrate the birth of these puppies as it was too sad.

Chihuahua's come in various colors and sizes. Smoothcoats, long coats. Here's a couple examples.

Sure wish I could hold one of these little "sweethearts" in my hand. They are beautiful!

Here's a poem really fitting the Chihuahua breed.

ONLY ONE?

Double your pleasure, double your fun.
When it comes to Chihuahuas, why keep only one?
Chihuahuas are loving, playful, and sweet
With their big brown eyes and dainty feet.

They love their people(oh how true!)
(And all those silly things humans do!)
But as much as they love us, they like their own.
To keep them company when we're not at home.

Pity the Chihuahua who's all alone.
For, he may have people that are all his own.
"But who'll wash my ears?" I hear him say,
"And wash my eyes and lick my tears away?"

For the Chi who has playmates, life is fun,
Little cousins who tumble and play and run.
When the humans come home the race begins,
The first one to kiss all the noses wins.

Pity the Chihuahua that's all alone,
No one tries to steal his bone,
No wrestling,hide-n-seek, or tag
Or tug-o-war with a tattered old rag.

Poor little Chihuahua all alone.
Double your pleasure, double your fun.
When it comes to Chihuahuas, why keep only one?

Chihuahuas have a small body, but they have a "Big Heart"

The song playing is "Cucaracha"
