The Andrew Norris Wiggin Bible has been donated to the Historical Society in Stratham, NH. Andrew's great great grand daughter, Eloise Clancey Brown (Andrew Jackson's sister Caroline A.'s great granddaughter). The story of how the Bible was found is an interesting one. Eloise's grandparents, Carrie and Frank Clancey built the house on Brentwood about 1923, in Exeter, NH. Eloise and her parents moved there in 1938 and lived there for most of their lives. After they died, the family sold the home. The new owners moved in and one day were exploring. They pushed aside the covering in the ceiling to expose a small crawl space. In searching this area, they found an old book. When they discovered what it was and who it belonged to they gave the old Bible to Eloise, it was one of her mother's possessions.
In 1995, descendants of Andrew Norris (namely, Wiggin sisters: Gay, Lela, Marie, Helen and brother Verne Wiggin) came from various parts of the country to visit Wiggin families in NH., Eloise gave the Bible to them and together they presented it to the Stratham Historical Society at a gathering of about 15 other 10th through 14th generation Wiggin descendants, held at Stratham Hill Park on 23 Sep 1995. Later the Bible was officially presented to the Stratham Historical Society.
Andrew Norris and Sarah's children were Enoch F., Laura Ann, ANDREW JACKSON, Sarah B., George W., Caroline A., Mary J., Abby E.
