EUGENE LELA |
Angela Tim |
Dwayne Charlotte Marcia |
After attending college for awhile, Lela took a teaching job at the Holiness Bible School where she met her future husband, Herschel Eugene "Eugene" Lynch. Eugene was born 15 Jun 1928 in Dewey, Washington Co., Oklahoma. Eugene and Lela corresponded while he was in the service. They were married 29 Aug 1953. To this couple were born five children: Angela, Timothy, Dwayne, Charlotte, and Marcia.
Lela owned and a operated day care center for several years in Valley Center, near Wichita, Kansas. With the help of their oldest daughter, Angela, Lela was able to have time to drive the public school bus during that time. Later Lela became employed for the state in a residence center for the handicapped people. She has such a tender, loving heart toward each of these people. Her favorite hobby is making porcelain dolls-these are truly beautiful- masterpieces!! She made ones that resembled her grandpa and grandma Williams, with wrinkled hands and all!
Eugene worked for many years for the Cessna Airplane Manufacturing Co, and at Boeings for several years until his retirement. At one time he was sent to the Boeing plant in Everett, WA.
Their children all gone from home and living in Kansas City area left Lela and Eugene alone in Wichita, Kansas. In August 1992, Lela and Eugene rented their farm and retired to Overland Park, KS to be near their children and grandchildren. Tim and Jenny and family had previously moved to Mesa, Arizona. Lela and Eugene bought a home in Overland Park, about a mile from Angela and her family. Later Dwayne and his son Patrick moved to Mesa, Arizona.
In 1996, Angela and Leonard sold their place and moved to southern Missouri where he is expanding his business. Shortly thereafter, Marcia and Steve Dennis and family relocated to Mesa, Arizona, near her brothers Tim and Dwayne and families. Charlotte and her husband had moved to Minnesota. Lela and Eugene once again found themselves alone. They do lots of traveling-- Alaska, Arizona, Florida, Colorado, but found a home in Mesa and moved there in 1997.
