Family information I have found on my Lippard line begins with: WILHELM LIPPARD b.1699 in Germany; m. Chatharina (?). Their children: John (born in Germany - date unknown); Johannes b. 1734; Catharina birthdate unknown; Christian b. 1736; Magdalena b. 1738. This family left Germany and arrived in the port of Philadelphia on Septemer 16, 1738 and later (abt. 1745) migrated to North Carolina. Wilhelm (now known as William) d. 1781 in Mecklenburg Co.(now Cabarrus Co.), N.C. and Chatharina d. 1795 in Cabarrus Co., N.C. JOHN LIPPARD m. Catherine (?)circa 1759. Their children: William b. 1760, Mecklenburg Co., N.C.; John b. 1768; Catherine; Elizabeth; Henry; Barbara; Frederick b. 1783; Peter; Christian; and possibly Daniel.(I have not found a date of death for John's wife Catherine but records indicate he married #2 Elizabeth Sassaman [widow of Henry Sassaman] in 1786 so it's possible the child, Daniel, was with Elizabeth.) John d. 1804 Cabarrus Co., N.C. WILLIAM LIPPARD b. 1760; m. 1783/1784 Mary Cress in Mecklenburg Co., N.C. Their children: John b. 1785; Catherine b. 1787; William Jr. b. 1790; Moses b.1796; Mary Ann (Polly) b. 1801; Henry; Jacob b. 1807; Thomas b. 1810. William d. 1834 and Mary in 1857 -- both in Ripley Co., Indiana. WILLIAM LIPPARD JR. b. 1790 Mecklenburg Co., N.C.; m. Mary Bridges 1817 [she was born 1796]. Their children: John b. 1818; Calvin b. 1821; Elizabeth b. 1824; Matilda Jane b. 1827; Rebecca Ann b. 1830; and Martha b. 1832. William died 25 Jan. 1836 in Morgan Co., Indiana and Mary d. 8 May 1860. (records indicate Mary Cress Lippard m. Henry Hoffman 22 Mar. 1838) MARTHA LIPPARD b.1832 Indiana; m. Lindsay Givan 1852. Children: Alice b. 1853 Iowa; Armenta b. 1855; Mary R. b. 1858 Kansas; George b. 1864 IA; Calvin 1868 IA; May 1870 IA; Grace b. 1877 in Oregon. Martha d. 1928 and Lindsay d. 1914 in Oregon.
