Ancestors of Peggy C (Fuller) Keen

My maternal Great Great Grandparents were John  and Elizabeth (Betsy) Keen.  They lived in Tazewell County Virginia, the section which is now Buchanan County, Virginia.  I show them having seven children:

  1. William Henry Keen born June 1, 1850.

  2. James A Keen

  3. Susannah Keen

  4. John P Keen

  5. Alexander Keen born abt 1861.

  6. Thomas Keen born abt 1865.

  7. Nancy Keen born abt 1868.

William & Hettie Keen

My Great Grandparents were William Henry and Hettie E (Keen) Keen. William was born on June 1, 1850.  Hettie was born December 9, 1855.  She was the daughter of Jefferson and Margaret Keen.  I show them having ten children:

  1. William P Keen born Dec 17, 1871; married Sara E Vandyke.

  2. Newton Keen

  3. Margaret E Keen born 1876; married William H Keen on September 2, 1896.  This William was the son of Robert and Sarah Keen.

  4. Mary Keen.

  5. Marrion W Keen born March 1886.

  6. Camel Arthur Keen was born May 16, 1889.

  7. Mattie C Keen born September 11, 1896; married Dewey Isom Byrd.

  8. Lotty C Keen born  May 1897.

  9. Charlotte Keen born 1899.

  10. Arminda Jane Keen born April 3, 1880 in Buchanan and died on April 10, 1880.

My Maternal Grandfather was Camel Arthur Keen. He was born on May 16, 1889, in Buchanan County VA. On Feb 9, 1910 He married Alta Ann Horn. Alta was born on Feb 22, 1893, in Buchanan County Virginia.  She was the daughter of Henry "Son" and Pricey Jane (Lester) Horn.  Cam died on May 15, 1969 in Buchanan County Virginia.  Alta died on September 8, 1966, in Buchanan County Virginia.  They had six children:

  1. Lillie Sylvania Keen born December 21, 1910.

  2. Bascom Harold Keen born October 1, 1913; married 1st Flornia Johnson, 2nd Lovis Mitchell, 3rd Norma Jean ???.

  3. Henry Earl Keen born August 7, 1916; married Julie (Horn) Keen.

  4. Velma Charlotte Keen born April 18, 1919; married Clyde Clevinger.

  5. Berlie Estil Keen born February 19, 1922; married Thelma Honaker.

  6. Ella Catherine Keen born March 10, 1924; married 1st Talmadge Wagner, 2nd John Arthur Keen, Sr.

My mother was Lillie Sylvania Keen.  She was born in Buchanan County on December 21, 1910.  She married Holland Fuller, son of Robinson and Amanda  (Osborne) Fuller, on December 23, 1933, in Buchanan County, VA. Lillie died on September 25, 1984.  Holland was born on January 12, 1911 and died on January 4, 1996.  They had nine children:

  1. Beulah Ellen Fuller.

  2. Mavis Malone Fuller.

  3. Buford Bascom Fuller.

  4. Betty Jean Fuller.

  5. Belford Ray Fuller.

  6. Robert Carlos Fuller.

  7. Hassell John Fuller.

  8. Joan Fuller, died in infancy.

  9. Peggy Christine Fuller.
