The Story
You are members of Green Peace collecting evidence of pollution for a world conference on the environment. Some of the places you will visit are owned by the people who oppose what you are doing. Other people may be prepared to help.
Two other groups re on similar expeditions to yours. You cannot help them but you must not hinder them in any way.
The Clues
1) Go to 'Travel Stores'. Make a large paper bag to collect your evidence in. Show the finished bag to the tour organiser
2) Collect a passport and further instructions from the passport office N.B. if the office is closed you will have to sneak in quietly and steal them!
3) You must all wear badges to show which group (Patrol) you belong to. Show finished badges to passport control
4) Go and fetch your patrol flag and give it to QM
5) Leave the field (Guides then follow a trail)
6)(With the next clue Guides find jam jar, string, candle etc.,) This is useful rubbish. Make a candle lamp which you can hold up high. When it is finished take 10 paces towards the farm yard. (you'll have to subsitute your own directions!)
7) Lemon message - can only be read when warmed up ' Collect your flag'
8) Go straight to the farmyard following the stars. (Don't stop till you are safely through the yard then keep looking) Guides receive a surprise from above!
8) (Tin cans and coat hangers with clue) These tin cans are evidence (they may be recycled when you get home) Continue to the stream. There are reports of poison containers in the water
9) (Guides find empty bottles in the water, tethered to the bank) Keep the bottles. Continue uphill to the three trees. Watch for signs.
10) Use the tins and coat hangers to make a billy can. Cook something in it at tea time.
11) Someone ha D been having a party further along. Colle their rubbish (Guides find rubbish which could contain goodies left over from the 'party')
12) The smallest member of your group has hurt her left ankle. Bandage the ankle and carry her till you meet someone who will help you (Guider). Continue North West along the track.
13) Dangerous marshland ahead. To summon help light the distress flare now (the sparkler)
14) Walk south east beside the hedge. Beware of illegal crop spraying Guiders with squirty bottles. You must make a note of the badge number of anyone seen doing this.
15) Decontaminated. Continue to the fallen tree.
16) Join conference at HQ to present your evidence.
