Peter Pan


This is another game requiring an overactive imagination. Guiders can stop Guides around the game in various guises and demand 'money' - for example in exchange for help or clues

Equipment

Hoods papers - 'jigsaws' for each patrol with a message on reverse
'Money'
Material to make purse out of
Paper for paper cups
Balloons with water
Water pistols
'Fish' (paper with paperclips attached) and fishing line (string and magnet)
Tins (washed!)
String
Letter reading Dear Soldier We are stuck on the rocks. What shall we do now? Love from the Pirates/Lostboys/Indians
'Fairy Dust' (must be biodegradable!)
Paper and stick to make a windmill out of (instructions if necessary)
You will also need to turn various parts of camp into 'caves', 'banks' etc.,

The Story

The wicked Captain Hook is becoming too powerful. The only way to overcome him is to meet together (Indians, pirates and lost boys) and make a plan to co-operate.

As each group lives in a different part of the island you have to travel to the meeting place. You may have to buy favours from other individuals you meet.

This is not a race. The object is to do all the tasks and follow the route correctly.

 (One piece of a jigsaw is attached to each clue. When complete it reads 'Congratulations, together you can overcome Hook. But for now the game is up and it's time for Tea')

 Clues 

1) At start You must steal papers from Hook. They are hidden in the green cave. If the front entrance is guarded try another way.

2) At 'cave' (a tent) Go to the bank for some money (attached = one of hooks papers (jigsaw piece)

3) At 'bank' Make a money purse (see sample)

 Then ask the bank cashier to give you all your money

4) From bank cashier Make a large bag to collect things in.

 Show it to 'Wendy'(A Guider)

5) from Wendy Go by boat to another part of the Island. Find the Boatman at the quayside. (This could be a real boat if you have one (or raft) across real water, otherwise you could improvise!)

6) from boatman Find directions NORTH SOUTH EAST AND WEST using only your watch and the sun.

 Then the boatman  3Ci>Guider) will help you on your way

 You must catch 2 fish from ur boat

7) Watch for rocks ahead. (rocks =water filled balloons dropped on Guides!)

8) The soldier on the beach cannot hear above the roar of the waves. Shouting is useless. Find a way of sending your letter in the tin

 Make sure you can pull it back with his reply (beware of sea spray)(Guiders with water pistols!)

9) From Soldier Follow the rocks in the direction I am pointing. You will soon reach a safe beach. (attached more paper)piece of jigsaw

10) 'Safe beach' The yongest in your group is falling asleep carry her as far as the next fairy tree

11) fairy tree Sorry about the fairy dust! (Guide are sprinkled with something from above!)

  1. Make a paper cup then have a drink
  2. The fairies are frightened by all the activity make a cheerful windmill and leave it for them to play with.

12) Make a white flag this shows that you come in peace.

With your flag held high, carefully approach the meeting place.

You will recognise the place - yellow shines in blue with flames below. (Guide flag)
