Robin Hood

 The Story

The Sheriff and his men have been up to their usual tricks, taking all the hard earned money off the poor people of the village, whilst they are living in luxury. You have to get the money off the Sheriffs men to return it to the poor. Be careful who you meet on your journey. Avoid being caught by the Sheriff's men, otherwise they will cease any money you may have and arrest you. You may find some villagers on your journey who will be pleased to help you return their money to them!

  • Clues

     A) You have to disguise your patrol as Sheriffs men, so if you get caught you can pretend to be on the Sheriff's side. This may be tricky, but because the Sheriff has so many men you may be able to get away with it. All the Sheriff's men wear a special badge. Find out what the badge looks like and copy it. Guiders are wearing a badge with a design that Guides have to copy

When you have done this see if your disguise works by going to the Sheriffs Man who is sitting by the flagpole. He might give you some clues as to where the Sheriff's Den is. Don't let him know you're an outlaw or you will be arrested.

    B) You may need some supplies for your journey but there are none left in the outlaws camp. You will have to go to the Sheriffs store tent. Sneak in and get your supplies, but don't let the Sheriff's men hear you!

    C) There may not be very much water available on your journey. Make a 'Spitting Suzy' to carry your water in. When you have made her she will allow you to take some water with you but because it is such short supply she will only let it trickle out. Don't forget to fill her with enough water for for all of you!

    D) You need to find where the Sheriffs men ave put all the money. Luckily they have forgotten to cover their tracks. Follow the trail to get to their hiding place. You may find useful things on the journey which the Sheriffs men have discarded. Pick these up.

(find either - jam jar, candle, pole and string to make lantern with or tin can, candle, ingredients for batter to cook on the tin can AND a newspaper)

    1. Find the Sheriffs Den.
    2. Chose a place nearby to hide
    3. Get the money from the Den and take it to your hiding place. Be careful you are not heard as the Sheriffs men may attack! (water pistols)

    H) (Guider /Ranger with Squash) You have met a villager who wants to thank you for helping them by offering you refreshments. She only has cordial. You will need to make some cups and ask Suzy for some water! The villager may be able to help you with find a safe route home.

    I) The Sheriff's men are using sniffer dogs to find the thieves. You need to cross the river to throw them off your scent. Build a bridge to get you across the river. You will find help nearby.
