By offering your support and encouragement
write good poetry or stories with flair, sing out their message through the words of a song, to play a tune with an instrument that feels of their heart, or depict what's in their mind through a good work of art. I am "artistically challenged". I couldn't carry a tune to save my life, and I couldn't draw a straight line for love nor money :-) I have been wondering all my life how on earth I could express myself. Finally, a place to "be" Hats off I'd like to take my hat off to all the newbies that have just gotten up the courage to add another "piece to their life" - developing a site. It doesn't matter what they put on the site, it's still a work of "their" art, an expression of themselves. Why support and encourage I think there are a whole slew of reasons why we need to support those who are new to it, and those very young folks that take the plunge. I think it's a great way to get children interested in and knowledgeable about technology and communications which we all know we rely on more every day. It's also a great way to get the technofobies more comfortable with technology and brings them together with those that have the answers they need. How you can help support and encourage What I would like to do to help support and encourage these people is to provide a link from my page to anyone who wishes I do so, and who has a new/first personal site. Then I'll ask YOU, when you have the time, to go and visit their sites and sign their guest books. How's about it? Does it sound good? Do you know of anyone who is just starting out and needs a boost? If you do, just drop me a line at pinkcastle@geocities.com and I'll put a link on this page for them. This is Katie's page. It's really cute. Go take a peek and sign her guestbook. Third: http://geocities.datacellar.net/Paris/Palais/2355 - added February 13, 1999. This is Steve's page. Steve is from Brisbane, Queensland, Australia and is really enjoying web page building. He has an interesting link to news from NASA, and his own top-40 album list. He'd love it if you signed his guestbook.
