There
are eyebrows above them and eyelashes around them. My
eyelashes and eyebrows keep dust and dirt out of my eyes.
I look closely at one of my eyes. The colored circle is my iris. Irises can be blue, brown, green, or gray. The dark dot is my pupil. The pupil is a round doorway to the inside of my eye. |
I
see my eyes |
My ears are sound catchers. Little tunnels in my ears lead to the inside of my head. The sounds I hear enter my head through these tunnels. | I
see my ears |
My nose has two holes in it. The air I breathe and the smells I sniff go in through the holes. | I
see my nose |
I see my mouth |
My mouth leads to the inside of my body. I use my mouth for eating, drinking and talking. Sometimes I breathe through my mouth too. |
I see my teeth | My front teeth are sharp. They cut my food. The rest of my teeth grind and mash my food. When I talk, my teeth help me make the right sounds. |
I see my tongue | It keeps
busy. I talk and it helps me to say words. I chew and it
moves my food. The little bumps on the sides of my tongue help me taste my food. |
