BePrsCrePrs is working with Siamese exclusively. We are a small cattery which allows us to interact with our "children" daily and on a one-to-one basis. Our kids are spoiled and underfoot, but this helps in their socialization process. We are also a closed cattery now, which means we will not be doing outside stud service. Our goals are simple: we are trying to breed the healthiest possible cats with wonderful temperaments. Of course, we are also striving towards breeding to CFA standards, which is the association we show in primarily at this time. We belong to TICA, also, and enjoy showing in that organization, and are making plans to participate more in this association in the future. The general public has some misconceptions regarding the Siamese Breed. One is that the Siamese are vicious or mean cats. We think the belief that Siamese are mean type cats comes from the fact that they are quite vocal, but they are certainly not a mean breed. They are highly intelligent cats that demand attention and their "hoarse" sounding voices will definitely make their point. Crossed eyes and kinked tails are now considered faults in the breed and we are trying to breed these traits out of the lines. We place our pet kittens between 3-1/2 to 4 months after they have been spayed or neutered. We don't believe in advocating indiscriminate breeding and adding to the overflowing shelters. We try to make sure that our kittens go to the right homes - that there is a good match. There are two types of Siamese, the extreme wedgie type that we are breeding and then the Traditional or Classic "apple head" Siamese. The picture above indicates the more rounded features typical of the apple head Siamese. We are trying a new script here and hope it works. We have listed our cats (and others).
