In mid January she had a litter of 6 kittens, 5 all fine and one obviously dead, cold, blue and not revivable with any amount of rubbing, blowing, shaking, etc.  A friend had just e-mailed me about a new acupuncture technique of reviving kittens after a ceasarian and we tried it - she started breathing straight away!  It was like a miracle.
The next day there were 7 kittens and a happy mom in the box, 6 girls and 1 boy.
The "miracle kitten" is the only cream classic tabby and the biggest and most boisterous of the lote.  She was named ACU.  Here are some pictures of the lot.

During December 1998, we had a heat wave in Cape Town.  At our place of work all possible windows and doors were left open to allow some air flow.  One day a man on a bicycle came past, rang the door bell and promptly threw a pregnant cat through the bars of the security gate.  She was a very sweet natured cat and obviously still young an immature.  We felt sorry for her and decided she could stay and she promptly moved into the waiting room.

The story has a very happy ending.
All the kittens found new, loving homes quite easily.   Acu went home with me and has recently become the proud mother of two delightful red bicolour Munchkin baby boys!
