INSTRUMENTS FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD

Below I have a short description about my love for music, etc. with a link to one of my good friends, STEVE.
Almost anyone can go to school to learn skills or a trade etc, but you will find out here on this page and on the link
to follow what happens when you not only like , but are almost driven by the desire to make available to folks like us: wonderful, unique instruments from all over and everything we need to "MAKE A JOYFUL NOISE !"

"And David and all the house of Israel played before the Lord on all manner of instruments made of fir wood, even on harps, and on psalteries, and on timbrels, and on coronets, and on cymbals." II Samuel 6:5

"Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and the harp. Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs. Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals. Let everything that hath breath
praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord." Psalms 150:3-6

One point I would like to make. It's just MY opinion so please feel free to take it or leave it. If you study music, especially the effects that ethnic music of the world has in our own cultures, you learn that there should be a continous chain in order to experience the maximum thrill at your creative PERFORMANCE in music. First the craftsman takes his vision of the instrument that he absolutely MUST CREATE. Next the soulfully created piece of ART is then placed in the hands of , not just a seller,(that would be degrading to the Artist), but someone who with the same spirit and with an unparallel appreciation of the Artist's "Creation" places the "PIECE" into the hands of the customer like me and you. We, in turn (IF WE ARE TO EXPERIENCE THE FULL POTENTIAL OF THE WORK AS WAS ENVISIONED BY THE INITIAL CRAFTSMAN) will with the same spirit APPRECIATE and CREATE! (DOES THIS MAKE SENSE TO ANYONE BUT ME???) Go figure !

As everyone should know by now, I have a great love for MUSIC and a great respect for musicians. Also, I might add I have a "newfound appreciation for the skilled craftsmen of instruments of all kinds. Some of the instruments that I truly admire are hand-made with plans and materials passed down; mostly from father to son (or to daughter), and through the generations you can feel the pride that goes into these instruments. Now we go to my friend STEVE.Just to view over 500 items of Ethnic Musical Instruments is mind boggling. A true musician (this is my opinion again !) when listening to music, don't listen the same as the average music lover. You can tell when a piece of music is being played, for example, most people listen, musicans EXPERIENCE THE PERFORMANCE. We wanna hear every little part, not just the main, but we hear all the subtle cymbals, or clicks, or rattles, whatever. You can ask someone "Did you think the tamborine sounded good in that first part ?" Your most frequent answer will be, "I didnt hear a tamborine, I was listening to the guitar, or whatever."
