Loosestrife growing by the side of the water takes over and destroys the other plants.
Tiny orange flowers called Touch-Me-Nots.  Pods burst open suddenly when touched.
Brilliant purple flowers, known as Purple Joe-Pye-Weed grow as high as 12 feet.
A sickly caterpillar that the ranger said would recuperate.
Coral flowers are called New York Ironweed.
Resembling a snapdragon,  this flower is called Butter-and-Eggs and belongs to the Figwort family.
