Hi! My name is Jill, and I'm Timna and Woosel's human. Besides being totally dedicated to making sure that our two furrbabies are properly spoiled and swathed in luxury, I love to garden.
I started small, but now I've managed to expand my tilled area to approximately 400 square feet. Last year I bought my first rear-tined tiller! Makes things alot easier! (my age and stamina have nothing to do with it, of course)
Timna and Woosel watch me carefully from the safety of the glassed-in sunroom. They have kitty perches (hand made by their doting daddy) that reach (according to daddy's plans) exactly up to each of the two windows. From there they can view the outside world of birdies and bugs and flying leaves! I also have the bird feeder area, which they of course adore.
March 26, 2000 - The weather has been so strange this year. We really didn't HAVE a winter, but you never knew when a freeze would pop in for a day or two. For that reason, I waited a little longer than usual to plant. I put snow pea and lettuce seeds in the soil in early March. The peas are just about ready to bloom, and the lettuce is up and should grow rapidly now. Yesterday, I planted transplants of tomatoes, cucumber, eggplant, and squash. I think I'm safe, but I have canvas ready to cover them if a late freeze still occurs. How I love spring!
