Doreen De Cosmis's
Farm Collies
Chipper and Chelsy

Chipper
When Doreen was a kid her family got a "sheltie" from a guy in Princeton, NJ.

Chipper lived 15 wonderful years and was the center of Doreen's world. Chipper was a very mature, playful, sensitive, overall intelligent dog and Doreen wanted another just like her.

(Chipper weighed about 45 lbs.)

Chipper

Chelsy

When Doreen moved out on her own she went back to the same guy and after visiting a few times found a "Farm Collie" who looked just like Chipper.

Chelsy is the spiting image of Chipper.
And she grew up to be very much like Chipper -
a beautiful, intelligent dog who adores children.

Chelsy-4 months

Chelsy- 2 years

Doreen doesn't know Chelsy's (or Chipper's) background. Certainly it is unlikely that Chipper was a sheltie, but what breed or breeds went in to these "farm collies" and where they came from remain a mystery. The broker where Doreen got Chelsy (and Chipper) has many breeds, probably from Missouri puppy mills, but "Farm Collie" is not a typical puppy mill breed so who knows where Chelsy came from or what her parents were like.
