Relaxing on Peggy's Porch often brings thoughts of loved ones.
"Of all the rights of women, the greatest is to be a mother." -- Lin Yutang
A dear friend of mine cross stitched the following poem for me when my daughters were still young enough to be rocked.
Cleaning and scrubbing can wait till tomorrow For babies grow up we've learned to our sorrow. So quiet down cobwebs, dust, go to sleep. I'm rocking my baby and babies don't keep!

This still hangs in my kitchen where I see it everyday. Thanks, Nancy. I don't know how those girls grew up so fast!
This Faerie is here in honor of my mother, Lorraine. She recently celebrated her 40th Wedding Anniversary and has 4 children and 12 grandchildren! Thanks for all you do, Mom!
This rose is in memory of Lyle's mother, Mary. She had 2 sons and 2 granddaughters. Breast cancer took her from us in 1984. She was only 48. We still miss her.
Moms on the Web Creed
~We believe in children~
little ones, thin ones and chubby ones.
There is faith in their eyes, love in their touch, hope in their attitude.
We thrill with them at life's joys, bow with them in worship and hold them close in tragedy.
We believe in children, the fragile dream of yesterday, life's radiant reality today and vibrant substance of tomorrow.
We believe in children, for wherever we go, we find yesterday's children who were nurtured in love, truth and beauty at work trying to make this world a better place for everyone.
