Favorite Family Recipes from Peggy's Porch



I love the look of a country kitchen! My grandmother's had a big, round table covered by a cheerful, red checkered cloth. Some of my fondest memories are of people gathered around it, talking and dreaming and sharing ideas. My kitchen is definitely the heart of our country home. It's located so that you have to go through it to get just about anywhere! It's separated from our dining room with a long breakfast bar; the perfect place for the girls to perch and have a chat while we're making dinner.

Being a military family also means moving every couple years. This has allowed us to make many new friends who have shared some wonderful recipes with us. I want to share the best of those with you here, plus some plain ol' everyday, family favorites.
