My immigrating ancestor is Ernest Heinrich, or Heinrich Ernst. He went by the names of Ernst and most of the time Henry. The first record that I have for Ernest Henry Pitzner is found in a city directory from Baltimore Maryland in the year 1871. He was a tailor and lived at 476 Penna Ave. Heinrich Ernest Pitzner also lived in St. Louis, MO, where he married Mrs. Elizabeth Wetzel Davis in 1874. I believe Elizabeth must have been widowed or divorced since the marriage record listed her as a "Mrs". on their marriage record. They lived in MO and then moved to Wisconsin. The family lived on Chouteau Ave in St Louis, also had a tailor shop on the same street. Oldest child, Alma, was born in 1873, so is either from first marriage or is out of wedlock child. Other children were: Amuil(Emil), Louis Charles, Henry August, August W. and Gussie. The Pitzner family moved to Wisconsin in 1886 and opened a tailor shop. I do know that Alma married a Harry Fitzgeral and lived in St. Louis, where they had a daughter named Norine. I believe Norine married someone by the name of Thompson. August Pitzner married Daisy Main, who was from Iowa. I know that Emil died in St. Louis. Heinrich died in La Crosse, WI in 1900. I am trying to find where Ernst Henry Pitzner came from and when he immigrated. I am looking for his intent papers at this time.
