Urban Action is a group of Christians with a love
for and calling to the inner city who have chosen to live and work in Urban
priority areas of Manchester.
Our aim is to work with local young people
who are disadvantaged and marginalized by society, seeking to bring wholeness
into every aspect of their lives in Jesus' name, and to serve and resource
local churches to enable them to do the same.
Youth for
Christ is a Christian organization wring in many countries world-wide
alongside local churches. In this country Youth For Christ's vision is
to "take Good News relevantly to every young person in Britain".
Urban Action's ministry is an expression of YFC's "Strategy
for the 90's" which includes: "moving from the grasslands of youth ministry
to the jungle of youth culture. This will mean a bias to the poor, needy,
and under-privileged in our society, seeking to develop a radical new edge
to the work."
