Jessie (Ballard) Claypool was born 19 December 1879 and died 16
    December 1905 at Ottumwa Iowa. She was buried at North English
    Cemetery 19 December 1905 from the Christian Church by
    Rev. L. F. Davis. She was married 18 December 1898 to Ernest
    V. Claypool. Survivors: her husband and son, Harold age 4 years;
    her parents, 2 brothers and one sister. She united with the
    Christian Church in 1901. Mr. & Mrs. Claypool and small son had
    gone to Albuquerque New Mexico last September. When her health
    became worse, they started home. She died in Ottumwa while they
    were changing trains. Her brother Frank Ballard and W.E. Wallace
    went to Ottumwa to assist with arrangements for bringing the body
    home. A Mr. Woodman (not originally with the group) assisted them
    in finishing the journey.
