C/2d Lt Joe Curran - Cadet Commnander 



C/2d Lt Joe Curran has been an active member in Civil Air Patrol since
December of 2000. Currently, Cadet Curran serves as the cadet deputy
commander for the Col. Shorty Powers Composite Squadron in Naperville,
Illinois. At AETCFC MS 2002 Cadet Curran was awarded the honor of both
Academic Top Gun and Top Graduate. He was also privileged enough to be
selected to go for a ride aboard an Air Force T-1 jet.

Currently, Cadet Curran is a junior at Naperville North High
School. He participates in both Cross-Country and Track, in which he
runs long distance events (Best Mile Time 4:38). Cadet Curran is also
a part-time employee for Hinckley Soaring Inc., where he is presently
working to achieve his glider rating. In the future, Cadet Curran
hopes to attend either the United States Air Force Academy or the
United States Military Academy and to serve as an officer in the
United States Military.
