Obituary of Well Known Vail Lady Mrs. F. W. Lawler died at her home in Vail, Iowa, Sunday evening, August 30, 1925, after a few hours illness. She was born at Centergrove, Clinton county, Iowa, on May 15, 1856, and was married to F. W. Lawler April 8, 1875. they moved to Crawford county and located on a farm north of West Side. Eight years ago this fall they moved to Vail, Iowa. Her husband, F. W. Lawler preceded her in death April 19, 1919, and two sons, John Francis in 1904, one daughter, Mrs. Mary Lillian Downey, in 1919, and William F. in 1923. She is survived by two sons, George and Joseph, and one daughter, Mrs. M. E. O'Connell; also the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Martha Foley; Mrs. Maria Kealy of St. Edwards, Nebr.; John Farrell of Lake Elmo, Minn.; Patrick Farrell of Raymond, Iowa; James Farrell, Mrs. William Torpy, both of Delmar, Iowa; George Farrell of Clinton, Iowa; Mrs. John Showalter of New Hampton, Iowa, Mrs. J. E. Shannon of Webster, Iowa; Mrs. T. Shannon of Alma, Iowa; and five grandchildren. The Requiem Mass was offered by Rev. J. J. Sullivan and interment was made in St. Ann's cemetery. The pallbearers were: Edward Sheridan, James Monaghan, William White, Frank Aylward, Robert Hammill and Ed Downey.
