The funeral will be noon Saturday in St. Joseph's Church, Dubuque, for Mrs. John (Eleanor) O'Connell, 82, Tucson, Ariz., formerly of the Charlotte area, who died Tuesday in Tucson. Visitation will be after 10 a.m. Friday in Seagert and Son Funeral Home, John F. Kennedy Road, Dubuque. She was born in Villa Nova, Iowa, near Charlotte, to Pat and Bridget Shannon Farrell. She married John O'Connell. Survivors include her husband; three sons, Eugene and Don, both of Milwaukee, Wis., and Robert of Dubuque; 18 grandchildren; and a brother, Urvin of Des Moines. The Gene Siegert & Son Westview funeral home, 2659 Kennedy Road is in charge of arrangements. Mr. O'Connell was born Aug. 14, 1895 in Raymond, Iowa, son of John and Mary (Ehr) O'Connell. He lived in Waterloo and Tucson until 1980, when he moved to Milwaukee. He served with the 58th Infantry Division in World War I. His wife, the former Eleanor Farrell died January 15, 1980. Surviving are three sons, John E. of Big Bend, Wis., Robert G. of Dubuque and Donald J. of Milwaukee, Wis.; 18 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren, and a sister, Josephine Bem of Reston, Va.
