Edna M. Foley Mass of the Christian burial for Edna M. Foley of Carroll will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, 1996 at Holy Spirit Church in Carroll. Ms. Foley, 87, of 202 N. Main St., died Wednesday, Oct. 9, 1996 at St. Anthony Nursing Home in Carroll. The Rev. Steve McLoud and the Rev. Lloyd White will officiate the Mass. Lector will be Greg Foley. Gift bearers will be Madonna Wilcox and Mary Gorman. The Catholic Daughters of America and the Legion of Mary will form an honor guard. Casket bearers will be Greg Foley, Jim Foley, Joe Foley, John Dunn, Joe White and John P. Lawler. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery in Carroll. Visitation will begin at 2:30 and the Legion of Mary and Catholic Daughters of America will recite a rosary at 3 Friday afternoon at Twit Funeral Home in Carroll. A vigil service will be held at 7:30 followed by another rosary at 8:15 Friday night at the funeral home. Born May 10, 1909, in rural Westside, she was a daughter of George and Mary Cornelia (Cuddy) Foley. Miss Foley received a bachelor of science degree and was a retired teacher and librarian. She was a member of Holy Spirit Parish, Little Flower Study Club, Catholic Daughters of America and the Legion of Mary. Survivors include a sister, Genevieve Foley of Carroll; a brother, Mel G. Foley, and his wife, Jane, of Mason City; and a sister-in-law, Helena Foley, of Carroll. Miss Foley was preced in death by her parents and a brother, Francis Foley. Foley, and his wife, Jane, of Mason City; a sister-in-law, Helena Foley, of Carroll; nieces, Madonna Wilcox and her daughter, Renee Wilcox, of San Antonio, Texas, Sister Mary Kieran of Meiden, Conn., and Mary Gorman of Kansas City, Mo.; and nephews, Joe Foley of Kansas City, Mo., and Greg and Jim Foley, both of Mason City.
